Are you talking about removing just the "Model S"? It would arguably make for a slightly cleaner and symmetric look at the back.

I dunno... I already get people tailgating me trying to figure out what kind of car it is. I actually wish TESLA was more visible.
(Ironically my plates say N TESLA but I don't think they realize it means anything.)
My idea: a string-operated flip-card (large) in the rear window, saying "It's a Tesla Model S", which you can flash for a few seconds.
I don't need no steeeenkin badges! This was taken at Hawthorne Supercharger on my way back from a full body clear bra job. Told them to leave the Model S badge off while they were at it.

Here is a picture of what it looks like without any badges. We had the full wrap and still haven't re-installed the badges on the back. I like the look being clean. But we may end up putting the Tesla T back on for the people who are trying to figure out what kind of car it is. We do have the Tesla license plate frame which does help people figure out what kind of car it is.

I think the Tesla badge is a source of great pride and I want as many people to be aware of the brand as possible. So there's no way I'd even think about de-badging my Model S.

yes i plan to de-badge. that way no one will ever know if I'm driving the Model S, or the Roadster (until it's too late, that is!)...
I'm surprised people can't figure out the kind of car when it still says T E S L A across the back chrome piece??
Try reading that from a following car (which is why I get tailgated fairly often).
The other problem is many people have never heard of Tesla and don't recognize it as being the car brand!
