This has obviously been answered in a thread somewhere, but it's really hard to find since all threads tend to contain the word VIN, so:
VIN numbers are assigned sequentially, increasing by one for each Model S produced - right? Then how come VIN #3XXX can be delivered at the same time as e.g. VIN #21YY? What happened with the cars between those VINs - that must be produced but not yet delivered?
It feels like the logical thing would be that cars should be delivered roughly ordered by their VIN, but obviously they're not - so what am I missing?
