Yup, just got the same thing but for Vancouver. The wait is definitely now the hardest part...

Any other Canadians figure out how they can get snowtires on these bad boys before or at delivery?

What dates, times and location did the Vancouver one give?? I did not get anything as yet.

When I spoke to Lisa in Toronto this AM, she asked if I wanted snows mounted at delivery, and I said "yes." I asked how they were going to supply them and there was not yet an answer.

One more link in the chain: The CEVBC web site now lists the Model S as an eligible vehicle for the full $5,000 BC incentive rebate!

That has appeared just since last week.

Also got mine for Toronto (S/N 2102) Will have unveiling party for interested friends Sat. Dec. 22! Can Hardly wait!

Wow, do you need a VIN over 2100 to get this? Seriously, though, think I wasn't offered the Service Center delivery option I think because of my distance from Toronto. Given that I've driven my Roadster to Toronto quite a few times I think I know how to get my Model S home safely...

Hello Doug. I am also contemplating a delivery in Toronto and then coming back to Ottawa. Range anxiety is kicking in because I'd have to leave my family in Brampton and come back to Orleans (which technically is about 500 kilometers). What would you recommend as to topping off sites. I believe there are 2 in Peterborough and that seems a likely option. Was just wondering as to your recommendations for location and timing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Given winter conditions you have to be a bit careful. The lower temperatures suck down about 10% range even if you don't use the heater. (By the way the seat heater is essentially "free" as the power draw is insignificant.)

Peterborough is the best route, because you can stick to lower speed highways and it's more direct. The leg between Peterborough and Ottawa is on the long side, so it's best to get as full a charge there as you can.

Berc's Steakhouse has a 30A charger. It's great that they have it, but it is painfully slow. A full charge there would take 12 hours. Given energy burn getting there you might have to stay for 3-4 hours.

The Best Western has a 70A charger - much better. It's hidden in a little area just behind and to the left of the front entrance, which was a construction zone when I was there a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't have a restaurant. You can walk down the street, but I don't like to freeload on the charge station owner - I like to either stay in the hotel or eat in their restaurant.

The other route is to go along the 401. I've done this too but you have to drive faster and that consumes more power, so the trip ends up taking a lot longer. It's actually best to drive as slowly as you safely can - plant yourself behind a slow-moving truck and stay there.

The Best Western in Cobourg and in Kingston have 70A chargers and both have restaurants. The Cobourg hotel manager was downright keen to see my car, and I even took him for a spin. The Kingston people asked "are you staying in the hotel?" Fortunately they were fine with me just eating in the restaurant. Important tip: from Kingston don't take the 401/416. Instead follow County Road 10. It's significantly shorter, very little traffic, slower speed limits for lower power consumption, takes exactly the same amount of time, and it's a beautiful drive to boot.

Thanks tremendously Doug. I didn't know that Cobourg had a 70A charger. Makes my worry level almost disappear.

I think I'll be doing the Peterborough route though because I've always liked the drive and it's nice country side. Did I need to call the hotel in advance to make arrangements?

I will be at the Vancouver event picking up my car. Depending on the day, I may have a few hours to kill while I wait a ferry back to Victoria. If I have the time, I would be happy to demo the car to any prod reservation holders who aren't at the event.

I called the 877 number on the confirmation web page and asked them to specifically put me into a delivery event for the first available day in Vancouver. He was happy to do that.

I asked him to forward me the email invitation, which he said he would do, but still nothing.

@Shorty or @ElectricFarmBoy, could you please paste the contents of the email here, so I have some idea what they are saying about dates, etc.

Another res holder in Vancouver is keeping an eye on the Service Centre, and will let us know if there is any activity there with cars arriving.

Just got a call from Jon... I was able to get in on the first available delivery slot!!! (Am I a keener or what?) Picking up at Tesla service in Mississauga and doing my very first road trip to bring her home. Next Thursday at 9 am I get to meet Essie!!!

A quick Google Maps search looks like that'll be about a 270 mile / 440 km trip. Think you can do it on a single charge?
