No cubby here, I was under the impression that the cubbies were not going to be retrofitted. Hopefully I'm mistaken!
Don't hate me because I have a cubby and a spoiler.

My understanding is that the cubby will be added to every car. I suppose someone who got a car whiteout one could ask not to have it installed, but I think that you'll certainly have the option.

Do you have a source for that? I was under the impression they would be installed after the fact, and I was certainly expecting it to be.
I now have an appointment with our local Tesla Service Manager for my cubby to be installed on Thursday here in Marietta, GA.
Every time I see the word "cubby" my mind reads that as "chubby", as in I have a chubby for my Model S. Yes, I'm 12 years old.
