I've never heard of a 1032 battery. Are you sure it isn't a CR2032? That's a common size for garage door openers and some key fobs.
VIN 2301: Performance 85 ● Blue Metallic ● Pano ● 21" Grey Wheels ● Black Leather/CF Interior ● CF Spoiler ● Tech/Sound Packages ● 7.6 kW Solar PV Array
Each FOB is unique, equipped with RFID backup chip inside. This chip is read via proximity reader behind a cupholder's plastic. It is a standard feature for keyless operated cars.
I hope the mobile app will help here in the future!? A least with getting the car unlocked...
Good thing I saw that picture. My rep told me it was over the vin on the driver side, but its actually the passenger side? Or maybe the sensor is huge.
P427 Performance White/Tan
When the battery starts getting low, does the car warn you on one of the screens well before you get to the point where the doors aren't opening and the car isn't starting?

But wait, what if your Model S has no more battery juice left? How will you unlock it then?
So I was writing the above two lines as a joke and then thought to myself, hey, what if your car runs out of battery and you want to open the charge port?
You can't from the touch screen, because that's off. Will the charge port recognize your cable if the car is locked? How about a non-Tesla charge cable?
