Attaching video (WMV) or audio (WMA) directly to a post

Is attaching video (WMV) or audio (WMA) directly to a post supported? Or do I have to publish it somewhere else and then link it?

It's not worth it to me to create an account with some other location just to post a video / audio here.

gmail account (which automatically gets a youtube account)? It's dead simple. Just do it

I can imagine the ability to directly post vids would strain the disk space / cost of the site.
