What everyone else said. Any decent electrician can get it done. In my case, I had a 20-foot run from the main breaker box in the garage to the side near the back of the car.

Hilariously, the radar around the car gets really pissed at virtually everything in my garage and orders me to stop at the edge of the garage where it meets the driveway.

Oh, and more car porn just because...

    Tesla porn indeed!
excellent composition and use of flat light seems to enhance the contours.

Picked up my S85D last Friday. Ordered mid May, delivered August 14th. Shipment took almost 2 month...
Got upset because 90KWh was introduced before my S got delivered. For me this is like getting an outdated car since it was still in Tesla's hands. Sales was supportive and offered to change order to S90D but waiting another 4 month was no option for me.
    - Color: Titanium
    - Grey new generation seats
    - White Alcantara interior
    - Autopilot
    - Premium interior
    - Smart Air suspension

First impression after a few days.
Still have to get used to all the new features but drives perfectly, love it.

    Challenges so far:
Browser freezed 3 times (got fixed with last nights update)
Still having 3G while I see other new cars getting LTE (need to talk to Tesla for this)

Honest question... why are people so obsessed with the cellular speed? What are people doing with it that they're so intent on having the fastest possible?

mobile provider moving to LTE and reducing 3G coverage, time to load maps with traffic updates (not funny driving and having blind spots on your map)

congratulations for the S85D! I am getting my P85D in just over 2 weeks, most probably from the same center as you (Basel?).
The model S is being improved daily, and this is how Tesla is improving the car continuosly, so don't think too much about the 90kWh battery! I even went for the P85D knowing that it has a slightly shorter range than the S85D. sometime in the near future, an even bigger battery option will appear, and we will most probably get an offer from Tesla to exchange ours for a reasonable fee. Elon himself said that we should just wait for an even higher capacity battery than the 90kWh.
For LTE, your car might have missed its introduction by few weeks, but most probably, a retrofit option is coming to Europe as it is already being offered in the US for a small fee (few hundred dollars including labour).
So just Enjoy your new wonderful S85D!

Even though mine was CPO, I still got a bow. The best reaction was from all my friends I didn't tell, we'd just go to lunch and I'd wander towards the Tesla. I'm stuck with supercharging since I'm living in a hotel right now (work trip), but so far it's awesome.

Cj, that's an awesome bow and I like your story. I wish I had a bow.

The Fremont Factory pickup was not so much a boutique experience, but an industrial futurist one. The tour was darn cool though.
