Is this another first for Tesla? Is the Roadster the first Electric Car with a toy made in it's likeness? It seem improbable but it is a curious question.

I don't think they ever made a toy EV1. A model Aptera would be cool, just because it's so different looking.

The toy industry is riddled with companies that come and go. There might have been a Japanese Ev1 or even a wooden or tin toy modeled after The Baker Electric.

There are a lot of Electric Car companies as well.

Well, I guess they're less popular outside the Bay Area. I actually managed to find some:



It's not too bad for 89 cents. Looks like they tried to get a few of the interior details, though rather clumsily. Really a shame they didn't try to capture the likeness of the wheels since it's such a distinguishing feature. I suppose, however, that the wheels are one of the few pieces Mattel can share with many other model cars to keep costs down.
