Wow!!! That doesn't look too bad actually. Now if they could only make a 1/18th scale diecast version.

Given how size of a Hotwheels toy, I would not expect much more. The rims must be recycled from some previous car as the the spokes don't have that distinctive twisted radiating pattern.

Did some digging and found that the Roadster is in Matell's 2008 (mainline) Variation list.

I just picked one up at Walmart. It's the blue one, and I don't think it's a good likeness at all. It's not just the wheels, I don't think some of the subtle curves are right, esp. along the doors, and around the headlights. And as mentioned here, the color doesn't match any of the known Tesla, or even Lotus colors.

Oh well, what do you expect for 97 cents. I wanted to buy two, one to keep packaged, and one to open up and play with with, but they only had one at the local store. I was surprised they had any.

I'm curious what does the interior looks like. Did they bother to try to model any of the Elise dash features?
