Drive your green vehicle at Laguna Seca during Refuel

This seems ideal for you CA owners: Drive your green vehicle at Laguna Seca during Refuel

Should be an easy drive for the Bay Area people.

Wow, that is a *sweet* elevation change. And I thought Barber was a good time...

That is the famous "Corkscrew". They crest a hill then drop into that. Sometimes they start off on 3 wheels there from the hard braking turn above.
YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

(note, video is of old gasoline cars)

It is a nice corner to watch from because you get shade from the trees unlike many of the other corners.

(Any Tesla owners need a co-pilot?)

It's a blind dropoff. Fun and scary.

I've driven "the bowl" at turn 6 at NHIS and the high speed downhill at Lime Rock, both lots of times. Elevation changes on a race track are thrilling and awe inspiring to drive, and try to master. It looks easy on a video like that, but drive it (or just ride along) at speed and it's SCARY!

I've driven that corkscrew and have to agree with this assessment.

Ten bucks is a real bargain to get to drive on that track. Assuming you already have a qualifying vehicle, I wouldn't pass up the opportunity. Hopefully they'll have some reasonable charging setup.

It really comes down to that, doesn't it? It's got to be a full-blown 240v70a charger, or I just don't see making the 75mi down, playing around, and 75mi back.

Perhaps Tesla could assist in setting one up there. It would seem like an ideal event for promotion.

Wow. Definitely wishing I lived on the West coast and owned an electric bike :)
