Clarkson explains himself in written Tesla review, loves hydrogen - AutoblogGreen Quote:

After reading Clarkson's review online, it's clear that the biggest problem the TG presenter has with the Roadster is that it's not powered by hydrogen. Clarkson suggests that even if the car were completely flawless, it would still be old-tech, since hydrogen is clearly the fuel of the future as far as he's concerned, and until then, apparently we should all be content with fossil fuels. And on that bombshell, we consider this case officially closed.

Something occurred to me today...
You see, although Top Gear is made by the public broadcaster that is the BBC, other non-UK-TV Top Gear activities go through a separate company:
Jeremy Clarkson, Bedder 6, and BBC to Make Lots of Money Quote:
In a deal that will see Clarkson and Wilman pocket more of the revenue generated from all Top Gear endeavors, not just the UK series, the BBC has taken majority share of a company known as Bedder 6. Set up by Jeremy and Andy a few years back for unknown reasons, Bedder 6 is now known to have 3 top level BBC executives on board.
Bedder 6 will be responsible for marketing the Top Gear brand worldwide, including the magazine, the UK, US, and AUS television series, and all related merchandising opportunities. It’s been reported that this move was necessary to keep Mr Clarkson happy amidst offers from competing networks and producers and should see a substantial amount of money heading his way.

So the
live show spin-off from Top Gear - which last year was so successful, it went on a world tour - would clearly be one of those merchandising opportunities, right?
And a big show like that would need some big sponsors, say, an oil company...
...whom you might want to keep sweet so they come back next year.
Now, here's an FCX Clarity filling up with fuel:
In case that's a bit small:
Now, I'm not inferring anything, but the keen-eyed amongst you might notice a logo appearing in all three pictures.
Finally - in case anyone was going to ask - an editor of TG Magazine is one Richard Porter, who appeared on that pro-Tesla, pro-EV
On Speed podcast. Clearly we have to put that down to one sneaking under the nose of the boss...
