The comments are quite interesting: Comments on ?Tesla takes Top Gear test to task? | Register Hardware

There are probably more Top Gear / hydrogen fanboys here than on the TG site itself! (But then again the primary audience of this site is desktop support people - only kidding )

However, this is a pretty succinct comment on the problems with hydrogen:

Quote:
Battery and Hydrogen are both "electric". Except in the case of Hydrogen, you have to turn electricity into a pressurized gas and then turn it back again. It makes it about 4 times less efficient.
To answer an earlier question, I've had it confirmed that the European version of the roadster will come with a 220/240V, 32A version of the mobile charger and the 70A home charger will be available.

See more about that here.

So in summary, there is no excuse for TG not to have talked about faster charging than 16 hours.

Given UK weather, that would create quite a back log. I don't think there's anything official about that list anyhow. It's there for the purpose of entertainment.

Ha! It's funny because it's true

We Brits enjoy a "Maritime Climate" That's code for "if you're this wet why don't you buy a boat?"

Can anyone read the Morse code in that picture?

Edit: I suppose that is better than I like Gary Newman

I think that was a coded message that they quite liked it though:

I like Gary Numan = Cars + Are Friends Electric

This pork tastes funny = I took to mean pigs finally flying.

Anyway, Autoblog posts on the subject: Tesla responds to Top Gear's test of Roadster - Autoblog

Yeah, Doug - if you look back in this very thread from a few days ago, I already decoded the Morse and posted links to those videos. I think I might have been the first to point out that his songs "Cars" & "Are Friends Electric" fit the theme.

Anyways, the TG folks are probably enjoying that their little game generated this many keystrokes mentioning them on the internet. (As they pointed out would happen in the audio commentary).

Yeah, I know. I was agreeing that it meant they secretly really liked the car.
