My passion for EVs started recently in January 2012 when I first test drove a Chevy Volt. I did tons of research at that time discovering all kinds of EVs including Model S. I wanted to replace my older car quickly, and knew I would need a car with 325 mile range for driving to family locations. That meant the only EV available to me was the Volt, and I purchased one on 4/2/2012. Shortly after getting the Volt I really ramped up my passion/obsession for EVs and as news continued to build about Model S over the summer I spent more and more time on TMC. Two events cemented my desire to move to a full BEV with 265 mile range. First was watching live the Tesla announcement of Supercharging for Model S. Second turning point was the MotorTrend COTY announcement (thanks Cinergi for the live stream). I reserved P16384 on 12/21/2012. After owning the Volt for 1 year and 1 day, I sold the Volt to make way for my new Model S which arrived on 4/9/2013. My username is the name of my first EV, which was Wattson. My new Model S is not yet named.
