Thanks for getting back to me, it indeed looks and I believe it is your design with the split V. Nice setup I managed to get the plastic screw out... my friend thought it was a push in pop out type which I tried and was unsuccessful. I then pushed in very hard on the plastic screw head and was able to back it out. I'll keep it in my trunk if I get hassled. Only odd thing was that the license plate blocks 1/3 of the cooling coming through the radiator fins while driving. My buddy said it shouldn't affect the cooling all that much. I like the clean look without the plate an always tend to bump, bang, and bend them from my leg hitting them

I did design a stainless steel license plate bracket that mounts through the front grille to the tow-hook socket. You can identify my design by the split "tongue" that angles down from the mount point and straddles the vertical sheet metal brace that is part of the tow-hook socket structure. The brackets I sold included a hex-socket head bolt for mounting the bracket to the tow-hook socket. However, I gave my design to a business that sold EV components, and they sold the bracket without the bolt. The plastic bolt you see is probably the bolt that came originally with the car just to fill the hole in the grille. That may have been used to mount the license plate bracket, although it was not meant to hold anything.

Email a picture of the bracket to casner@acm.org so I can see if this is my design. If you can also take a picture of the screw head, maybe I can provide some specific advice. I was going to say more here, but there is a 1000-character limit.
