UPDATE: Mercedes setting some aggressive targets:

Even if this isn't achieveable, hopefully it will be good news for Tesla.

I personally think that MB has a great opportunity to match their DiesOtto engine as a generator for a Hybrid. The combination of technologies looks like it would go a long way towards maximizing the efficiency of a serial hybrid.
