In looking at plugshare and other sites, I think I can find charge points, but it's not always clear what sort of plug they have. Should I spend the $150 and get the other adapters in Tesla's store? The 10-30, 14-30, and 6-50?

I'm trying to convince the building owner of the office space we lease to install a charging station. They made a concession for another tenant by installing a 120VAC outlet adjacent to a parking space when he made it a condition of his lease.

My question: are there any specific incentives federally (or for MD state) such as discounts, tax breaks, etc... that I might be able to supply that could help with the case? So far I've got this, but that's about it:

http://www.afdc.energy.gov/laws/law/MD/9302

At this point, I'm suggesting it's a "green-friendly" action that might make his building more attractive to tenants, but I was wondering if anybody else has any suggestions that worked for them?

Thanks.

Any chance there will be a CHAdeMO adapter offered by Tesla to supplement the super charging network. Seems like it would be cost effective especially on the West coast to make use of the Blink DC fast chargers instead of building exclusively Tesla super chargers which have been slow coming online. I think the adapters are included if you buy a car in Japan. Maybe someone in Japan would be willing to sell one over here. There are 28 Blink super fast in TN, maybe because of Nissan?

It seems like Tesla filed a bunch of electrical permits on 5/16. Over at TM.com in the state of Washington section, they found permit applications and locations for SCs in Burlington and Centralia.
I was inspired by that and did some searching and found http://permits.leegov.com/tm_bin/tmw...=ADD2013-00058
which is for a SC in Ft. Myers, FL. It's at a shopping mall (one which was rumored before).

In case it's of any use, here is a link for all of the malls owned by that company (all over the country):

CBL : Great Shopping Places : By State
Maybe there was a multi-location deal.

I am planning our first road trip next week and are hoping to head to the Fargo Moorhead area. In looking for charging opportunities I have only found the 2 local Nissan dealerships. This is a little concerning as I don't know how receptive they are re Tesla vehicles and/or hours of availability.

Has anyone discovered any alternative charging options such as local hotels/motels?
Any advice from San Diegans about where I might be able to charge my car when I'm there? I'm going to ask a few hotels if they'll let me charge if I stay there, but other advice is welcome.
Ideally, I think we'll want to stay near Point Loma or Ocean Beach but we might end up near La Jolla if that works out better for some reason.

This past weekend my family and Flasherz's family went down to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri to attend the Magic Dragon Car show. The weather was a bit rainy and cold but in spite of that we had a great time showing our Model S's and talking about Tesla. Lot of interested people here in Missouri.

The only real snag, other than the rain, occurred when we arrived at our resort. I had spent time finding a resort that had both cabins and RV spots. After extensive phone calls I had been assured that the resort had several 50amp sites. So we arrived at the resort around 9:30pm in a very steady drizzle. After checking in and unloading our cars we moved them to the nearest RV site. Flasherz plugged and and nothing. No green light nothing. So he checked the box, checked the breaker all seemed ok, but no power. So we began walking around with our respective charging cables and plugging them in to the various RV sites. After checking every outlet available, including unplugging a number of campers (luckily they were just there for storage), I finally found 1 that got us a green light. So we were not completely dead in the water, but we had 2 S's needing full charges and only one outlet. So, I called down to the office and they sent up maintenance. After walking around, checking all the boxes and breakers, he finally concluded that everything had power but all the other boxes had been wired with 120 instead of 240 service. So though the resort advertised 6 charging spots they only had 1 that would actually work for our needs.

Long story short, and some interrupted sleep we were able to have both cars charged in time for our trip back. Whew!

But I now need to call and confirm that all the RV sites I've reserved for my trip to Colorado have 240 service on their 50amp outlets.

Fun, fun!. Happy road tripping.

We stopped in Geyserville @ Clos Du Bois Winery to use the free Chargepoint station.

Turns out they have > 1.1 MW Solar system  and 4(?) free charge spots under a solar rack for shaded parking. We went in to taste some wine and charge for an hourish and as we were getting ready to pay for the tasting at the end + purchase a couple of bottles of wine I mentioned that we stopped since they had a charger - 'oh, well tasting is free for anyone charging" was the response!

so, I actually joined a wine club since we make the Eureka/SF trip ~3-4 times a year or so and can pick up the wine w/out shipping + some pretty nice discounts & my wine fridge is pretty sparse now

pretty tasty for reasonably priced wine - not sure If I like any of their grocery store available wines? but tasting room wines were all pretty tasty
