The GMail app for iOS was working great for me, until I needed to add a second GMail account. I got a "timeout" error when trying to log into the second account. Google's help forums said to try (1) force closing the app (2) restarting iOS device, neither of which worked. A (3) option was to reinstall the GMail app, which I did.

Now all of my GMail accounts timeout when I try to log in through the Gmail App.

:cursing:

Oddly, if I log in through GMail's mobile site through the Safari Browser, everything is fine.

:cursing:

Anyone know what is up with this?

Here's a quick and easy guide to the most commonly misspelled or misused three words:

Their - used to indicate possession ONLY - as in something is part of or owns something. ie. Tesla is a great company. Their employees must be loving their stock options!

They're - contraction of "they are". Tesla has great employees. They're on a roll right now.

There - use for everything else. There are about 4,000 employees that work over there.

A preliminary model of the Tesla Statue has been created and once finalized will be casted and installed in open public view later this year.
From the photos, I am guessing this statue is near the building that has the Bank of America ATMs, which is about a mile away from Tesla headquarters.

This morning, on the way to work, I was pulled over by a Virginia State Trooper.

Why?

He wanted a ride in the Tesla.

OK, so he didn't use his lights and sirens (that would be illegal)...but he quickly pulled up next to me on a 4-lane divided highway and matched my speed. I looked over, and he was trying to talk to me. I rolled the window down, and couldn't hear him over the wind noise (I was going 57 mph). I motioned to him that I'd pull onto a side street.

He parked behind me and walked up to the car, as if it were a traffic stop. I heard him call out "I just wanted to see the car!". I showed him the touchscreen, door handles, frunk/trunk, and then he said "man, wish I could go for a ride but I'm on duty."
I said he was welcome to hop in. He did.

We went for a 1 mile joyride up and down Route 17. He even let me floor it. (I asked if I'd get in trouble--he said "naw, I won't write you a ticket--just don't crash!").

He loved it. Kept saying the car was so cool. Knew all about it--had been watching a bunch of Youtube videos on it...even knew about the Roadster and the Model X. (A rarity here in Virginia).

He said he'd probably never be able to afford it, but would choose it over a Ferrari.

THAT never happened in my previous car...

- removing the disingenuous home page $500 banner

Sometimes life, education, career, training, and experience all converge in mysterious ways. My wife and I are both diagnostic radiologists (medical subspecialty), and we both did early research in what was called Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging (now known as Magnetic Resonance or MR-- the nuclear part scared too many patients). The original unit of measurement of magnetic field was Gauss (by way of reference, the earth's magnetic field is about 1 gauss). The current international standard unit is Tesla (1 T is 1000 Gauss). Clinical MR systems routinely operate at 1.5 or 3 T. For over 25 years, I have been invoking the word Tesla many times a day when I interpret and dictate the report of MR examinations, as I always report the field strength of the system used to image a patient (... yes, it is relevant). Little did I know that now I would be taking delivery of a new EV and be able to speak the name Tesla in a totally different context. Makes me grin a bit at work (even before the widely reported 'Tesla grin' appears on my face).

"Carlson captures this extraordinary, contradictory life - inventor, futurist visionary, showman, and, at times, ranting narcissist. We get to see how Tesla scrambled like mad, built with ambition, and in his later efforts failed monumentally. Here is a book that guides us through this wild ride with empathy and without hagiography." - Peter Galison, Harvard University
