Confirmed factory tours at Tesla on Friday, July 12th and Sunday, July 14th. Two tours each of those days, 15 people max per tour. While exact times have yet to be determined, the two Friday tour times will fall between noon and 4pm, the two Sunday tour times will fall between 10am and 2pm.

Note that the factory will not be running on Sunday. That will make it easier to hear your tour guide, you will see lots of interesting stuff - but you will not see cars rolling off the production line.

No children under 12.

No photography.

Wear appropriate footwear (no flipflops/sandals/open toe shoes/heels).

Priority will be given to Non-local/Roadster or Model S owner/no previous factory tour. I'll update the list by priority until this Sunday evening, May 12th @ 6pm PST. After that, any open slots on the tour signup lists will be first-come, first-serve. (And if I don't find your name on the TESLIVE registration list, you will be removed from the tour. Sorry!)

If you have registered a guest for TESLIVE, then you are welcome to sign up for them also. Please put them on a separate line, so we keep an accurate count.
-------------
UPDATE - GOOD NEWS!!

Big shout out to Tesla Marketing who did what they had to do to open up the size of the Friday tours.

So here's the confirmed list for factory tours. After this, it's first-come, first-serve for the remaining few seats. And PLEASE, if you cannot make it for any reason, let me know. I'm sure there will be someone else who would like to go.
Can aaron.s or anyone else who was there provide more details about how it worked?
Maybe easier to just publish a route so cars won't get lost?

This is a grassroots effort & while we're doing our best to make sure everything is covered, I'm also sure that volunteers will be needed. A couple of you have been gracious enough to send private messages, letting me know you'd be happy to pitch in where ever we might need help. Please note that there are no free passes for volunteers. I wish I could say there were, but the budget doesn't allow for that.

I'll keep this first list updated with where we might need assistance - if you feel you can help, please reply right in the thread. As we get closer to the event, we'll contact people with specific needs.

Right now, we believe we will be able to use assistance with:

Parking logistics

Charging schedule (we're currently collecting charging needs)

Carpooling

Registration Table

Event Photography

Coordinate SJC airport pickup/dropoff requests with hotel shuttle / SFO requests with TMC driver volunteers (discoducky - see separate thread for more information)

Pick up / drop off fellow TMC members from airport (SFO)

Event setup

Post-event cleanup

First-Responder/physician attendee contact list

Sunday Drive - drive planner/coordinator, based locally

The list is going to grow longer. If you have a special skill that you believe would be helpful to us, please speak up and point it out. We may not have thought about using TMC help.

Thanks :).
Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk will be the featured keynote speaker at Teslive, a first-ever users conference being planned for Tesla owners and enthusiasts. Other speakers are expected to include Tesla executives and key industry experts.

The July conference is being organized by grass-roots volunteers with the independent Tesla Motors Club, which has roughly 6,000 active users. TMC's popular online forums have become an organizing force for the electric carmaker's fervent user base, as well as a key source of information for analysts and journalists who follow the Palo Alto-based maker of electric vehicles.
"A forum member said we should do a Macworld, but for Tesla," said Bonnie Norman, 59, who owns a Tesla Roadster and is second in the reservation line to buy the forthcoming Model X. "It just kind of grew from there."
Teslive is being billed as a partnership between TMC and Tesla Motors. The two-day conference is designed to help Tesla owners and enthusiasts meet each other and employees of the company improve their knowledge of the car and find out about future products and services.
The independent Tesla Motors Club (TMC) has roughly 6,000 active users, and TMC’s popular forums have become a key source of information for journalists and analysts who follow the company.
TESLIVE kicks off Friday July 12th at the Crowne Plaza San Jose-Silicon Valley with exhibits and a network reception. Saturday includes several breakout sessions and a Tesla Motors-sponsored party at the Fremont factory.
