It's become a bit of a tradition for many of us here at Tesla Motors Club to cheer on the exploits of SpaceX. This morning the Dragon capsule makes its third visit to the International Space Station and its second official resupply flight. Follow the mission LIVE with us here and leave your comments below. The launch is scheduled Friday, March 1st at 10:10am EST. Coverage starts at 9:00am EST.

Got to Dragon separation, but apparently Dragon had a problem. We'll have to wait for the press conference to find out what happened.

    Edit to add replay vid:

That was a sudden cut off. Can't be a minor problem.

Suggestions of Dragon free floating and/or solar arrays not deploying. Loss of communication with Dragon? Computer issue? A mechanical failure? Or combination?
  8. Discoducky's Avatar
Looks like the feed is back on. Or is this a replay?
  9. Discoducky's Avatar
Ack, just stopped again. Hope all is well with Dragon.

If it was a solar array deployment, they were very quick to decide to cut the feed off. Particularly given there are two of them.

Looked like failure of solar array deployment. Most likely in power-save mode and calculating battery energy for one attempt at ISS.

I guess I was wrong. Issue with Dragon thruster pods.

Issue with Dragon thruster pods. System inhibiting three of four from initializing. About to command inhibit override.

Supposed to be a press conference in 10 minutes.
  16. Krugerrand's Avatar
Will the press conference be webcast via SpaceX website?
  17. doug's Avatar
The press conference should be on NASA TV which I have embedded above.
  18. doug's Avatar
Err.. I guess the press conference is later, they're just doing an ISS update now.

When there’s a problem getting #Dragon thrusters set up, the solar arrays are set NOT to deploy. That’s where we are now.

Tx, Doug...am watching the Nasa feed for that press conference. Thought one so soon was odd.
