GM says plans hybrid cars for Europe in three years - Yahoo! News

"...The hybrid cars would be more expensive than all-electric vehicles..."

I thought Serial-Hybrids (REEVs) were supposed to cost less than full BEVs...

They're comparing a PHEV against a short-ranged "city car" BEV, not against a full-performance BEV like the Model S.

Remember that the conventional wisdom in the industry says BEVs are itty-bitty, short-range, low-performance vehicles . . . like the Smart EV, the Think City, the Mitsubishi MiEV.
