...or maybe even a partial design studio since it is in such an advanced stage?

It's very possible that we'll get a whole new website, including the new Model S Design Studio. I'm hoping, hoping, hoping anyway.

Would be great if they redid their forums as well.

I've been scoping the site hoping to catch wind of it.

In another post someone posted that the unveiling was going to be 8:00 PST on Thursday but not totally sure of the time. I too have not seen if the TM website will stream the event.

There have been many posts announcing that the unveiling will be at 8PM online via a streaming web broadcast.

What I meant was, I've been visiting urls hoping to find the model x landing page before it goes live. Tough since TM monitors this board, I'm sure they'll be extra careful now.

Note the Twitter quote on the Model X page:

Wow... Tesla Motors is really steaming ahead on the Model X offering. I think we could see a Model X tour 3 to 9 months out and then beta versions of the X.

Interesting that they'd take deposits on the Model X before they've begun delivering the Model S. I wonder how many Model S sales they'll lose to the Model X.

In my case, it all depends on the range. If there's a 400+ mile option, I'll likely lean toward the SUV. Weather in Minnesota often dictates the use of 4-wheel drive vehicles (although this year seems to be a serious anomaly).

My Prius will be 9 years old by the time my Model S is delivered and I'll have been waiting what, almost 4 years since putting down a deposit. While an SUV would be nice for many of the things I do it's not imperitive, we have an SUV (Highlander Hybrid) that will serve and I just don't think I have the patience for another wait unless this thing offers some major improvement (like 400 mile range).

Highly doubt there will be a 400 mile range option because:
(1) Model X uses the same exact size battery packs as the Model S
(2) It's possible because it's being introduced 18 months later the cells have better chemistry BUT
(3) This is a significantly taller vehicle with a potentially worse drag coefficient

So my guess is that better cells are offset by worse cdA and you get 300 mile range in best case.

Note that the Model S by then should have a 330-390 mile option.
