Wow. Yet more fragmentation of the nascent EV charging scene. This is the first public deployment I am aware of that uses the SCAME type 3 socket (where J1772 is type 1 and Mennekes is type 2). So yet another cable or adapter to carry! Having said that they also support CHAdeMO. At least fast charge DC is standardised for now - until SAE, the new Mennekes DC proposal and Tesla break up and balkanise this too!Also they use RFID tags to be distributed in Rennes. No-one ever seems to consider the idea that EV drivers may visit from another locality.

No-one ever seems to consider the idea that EV drivers may visit from another locality.I think it's clear that EV drivers are the last people that anyone wants to consult about Charging Stations :wink:
