Let us see your Peak Output Screens!
Please add your type (sport/non-sport), model (1.5 / 2.0 / 2.5 ), tire type and pressure. I'm curious to see the individual peaks of each Roadster.
My first attempt:
Non-Sport / 2.5 (2010) / Yoko Advan Ad07 / pressure according to manual.

(I was rewarded with this :biggrin::rolleyes: - by the time I had the cam out, PEM/Motor already dropped down one yellow.)

and please tire typ and tire pressure
With my winter tires I get only 0,56 g, my wife says the reason are not the tires but my weight, she might be right:redface:

Just got 0.68g and 260 hp.
I'm missing 28 hp !!! (Specs say 288 hp)

i got 229kW, that's more then the spec, but only 248hp. Does someone know the conversion rate? your image shows 270max, means only 18 left?

Conversion rate of what? Did you mean 229ftlb?
229kW would be 307hp
248hp is 185kW.
If you want to convert ftlb to HP then you need to know RPM too.

no i get up to 229kW displayed, if i switch over to the last screen with the peak values i only can see 248 hp. Do you make the conversion with 1.36? isn't this metric?

I hit the 272lft evey time (272lbft is exact the number from specs). So I assume that the torque is limited - which brings out the old discussion about sport / non-sport only having only different firmwares...
Traction control setting?

I would be surprised if anyone has the traction control "ON" while trying to get max. output ;)

me, new rims are to expensive, and I was lucky, that there was a curb which kept the car on the road but crashed the rims. Otherwise I would have tested how good the Roadster is at lawn moving.
Things not to do with a Roadster. (http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/4674-Things-not-to-do-with-a-Roadster./page4)
Are you guys taking photos right at the moment of peak output, or is this showing a telltale of the max achieved?
If it is "after the fact" what VDS sequence do you use to get that screen?

TEG,
The button that says "REAL TIME" above toggles "real time" and "max" mode which keeps the maximum values for that drive - I believe it's reset each time you power down.

Thanks! It didn't seem possible you all could hold a camera that steady during ~.75g's !

i have a non-sport and achieved in performance mode, cold motor, cold battery, winter tire: 272 torque, 264 hp and 0.7g. The torque depends on the current, which is limited to 700A.

2008 Roadster, Performance Mode, 91° F, base Yokohama tires, 10,300 miles on battery pack and tires, Range Mode SOC between 85% and 93% for that set of quarter-mile runs doing two-foot launches.
http://www.idleloop.com/tesla/photos/PeakOutputWIV.jpg
My best time on the quarter mile that night was 12.978 sec ET at 103.40 mph. I believe the numbers on that run were 281 ft-lb, 249 hp, 0.67 g.
Test driving a 2.5 sport with a passenger. Not trying too hard (TC was on, pack was getting low):

Roadster Sport 2.0 Performance mode, but no preparation like warm battery. Continental Tyres. Soft top on. It was not a standing start.
TC was on
Tried again today. Turned TC off. Roadster Sport 2.5, AD07. Standard mode charge, performance mode driving.
Still had a passenger, so close to 300lbs of "ballast", and had the extra weight of a MC240 in the trunk/boot.

Would you not need to charge in range mode and do a run in performance mode to get max hp?
Probably. I was trying to be nice to the battery pack.

Here's a peak output screen from my 2.0 non-sport Roadster.
And a screen from after some time driving on the track ( a 0.8 mile very tight track with a top speed of about 75mph )

Man you were really burning kW! You were going all Top Gear on the range.
I've tied your G reading on my 2.0 non-sport, although I don't have a photo.

I have a 2008 1.5, non-sport and my peak was 281 ft-lbs, 248 hp and .73g. I also managed to reach 104 in a 1/4 mile. So I am pleased the car appears to be right on the specifications.
First try at capturing this screen. Nothing in the car but me (160lbs) which must be why the HP is a little low. Also, I didn't go over 90mph. I'm pretty sure I hit the .76G when going down a freeway ramp like a bat out of hell, but I wasn't watching the screen at that moment. ;)

Zack,
What are you driving? Sport/non-sport?
Looks good on the acceleration!
I'm having a hard time maxing out on Horse power and G-forces simultaneously.

I hit 0.71g and later 0.73g in my 2.5 non-sport today, both at 260hp. Then I realized I had just forgotten my iPhone at a friend's place I had been visiting, so no proof unfortunately. Will try again this weekend.

Can anyone tell me if the 'g' reading is based on vehicle speed or an actual accelerometer? Just curious what 'g' you would see if you pushed a Roadster off a cliff. Would it be 1.0 or zero?
It seems like the best g readings I got took place while going steeply downhill pell-mell.
So I'd guess 1, but try it and let us know! ;)

It sounds crazy, I know, but when we had a test drive, we were zooming about here and there's a steep hill near our house. At one point after I'd done a pretty cool hill climb, the Tesla rep said to me "look there, you got close to one gee" (pointing at screen). I recall looking at the screen, seeing point nine something and saying "uh-huh".
Looking here at you guys, I see that "point nine something" is either impossible or his car was tweaked. Now this was my first ride in a Roadster, so maybe the Tesla Madness had turned my brain to mush. This was nominally a 2.5 Sport but it was from the NY showroom and had some mods in it plus a few features missing/disabled.
I'll do some experiments of course when we get our 2.5 Regular but I'll stop short (ha ha) of driving over Englewood Cliffs. Hopefully.

Okay, got my iPhone back and was able to replicate yesterday's run. Driver 200 lbs., non-sport 2.5, TC engaged, charged with standard mode 110V/15A, 150 ideal miles left, driving at night on flat, dry pavement in performance mode.

Dear lord! Please, please don't try that. Unless, of course, you are absolutely sure you can upload the photos to the web before you hit the bottom.
