This TMC (http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php?p=27836#post27836)thread had this (http://washington.bizjournals.com/washington/stories/2009/05/04/daily87.html?surround=lfn) link which talked about the electrification of Washington DC by AeroVironment. Not these guys (http://www.avincp3.com/)as linked in BizJournal but these guys (http://www.avinc.com/).

When was that last time we heard of them in the EV scene? The Sunraycer and Impact were late 80's early 90's but what have they been doing in the EV scene lately? Their website looks chock full of EV visibility.

Advanced battery research, and AC and DC test systems.

These guys have the connections and genius to change things in a real big way.

There are more than one Tesla in the parking lot.

We talked about their demonstration of a 10 minute recharge of an Altairnano battery here.

If there is the political will and funding available, maybe they should make hay while the sun shines and put in such chargers in DC.
