There was some discussion about ESS being assembled in USA so some said it is "Made in USA", but I can't find it now. (Anyone remember where that was?)

I just saw this ESS photo which has a "Product of Japan" sticker.
So it must related to the cells inside since I think ESS was first assembled in Thailand, and now in San Carlos.

(It looks like there is a different sticker under the new one)

Maybe it's the sticker that's made in Japan.

you'll have to check my facts on this but I think it relates to the total % content of the final assembled piece by value. Since the 6,831 cells comprise the lion's share of the value of the ESS, it is therefore a "product of Japan".

I wish I could remember where it was, but somewhere at TMC was a debate over where the ESS is "made", and someone was arguing that it was "made in USA" since it was assembled here.

Did someone delete that thread? I can't seem to find it anymore.
