Flux Capacitor found:
ThinkGeek :: Flux Capacitor Replica (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/plush/9fc6/)
Perhaps incorporating this would satisfy Finkenbusch's desire for using capacitor tech in the Tesla?

Not bad - but I would be happy to get a battery system in the Tesla matching the durability, sturdyness and reparability of the 100 year young
1909 Baker Electric (http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive/jay_leno_garage/4215940.html)
As a starter - and then a EEstore capacitor
Comparing to the advances the space age and aeronautics have made in that time in comparing the EV - the Tesla seems to be a minor step - to me.

If I had a Tesla and they made these in a 1/3rd or 1/4 size, I would mount it in my car.
I know it's pathetic.
But between all those garish paint jobs in the Gumball 3000 Cars Photos: Gumball 3000 Salt Lake City Utah (http://photocars.blogspot.com/2006/05/gumball-3000-salt-lake-city-utah.html) and the high quantity of rich nerds buying the car, I'm guessing my geekdom would not be alone.
