"The biggest plus of all may be one that MP Systems hasn't even thought of yet: No more urine stains in stairway."

That is really cool. Wow. I wonder where this is being deployed and also the project cost. Insurance companies will also favor this method of parking no doubt. It seems rather achievable. I wonder if they will rely on programmable logic control. Some logic is heavy. But I'm guessing it shouldn't require microprocessors. Most of the process appears linear and more pattern orientated. Any input Doug?

The system would need to have some way of checking that the parking brake \ handbrake has been applied and if necessary altering the customer while they get their ticket.

As far as I can see the main bottleneck would be the time taken by returning shoppers to re-pack their vehicle with groceries/kids/etc and drive off the turntable.

Whilst in storage, could a serious coolant or oil leak from one car drip onto the car below?

I saw stuff like that in downtown Tokyo decades ago.

There used to be a concept like this when I lived in Munich, except that it went underground rather than above ground. Pretty cool idea for hiding unsightly car parks.

Nice but I wouldn't trust an electronic system to drive the car that way without me being in the cabin.
