I don't think simply installing a "sport battery" will do the trick... you have to upgrade lots of other parts, too (electronics, cooling, tires, etc) to get things back into balance. And your range might get cut in half. Seems like a very niche product, to me...
I'm curious to see how the auto press reviews turn out. For groups that are used to playing with Porches and Ferraris, I wonder how Tesla's relatively low top speed and limited range will go over...
