Same problem with my 2018 Model 3. A temporary solution is to enter service mode, go to the Cameras tab of the driver assistance section, and reset the DAS. This reboots the ECU and camera and gets it working again until it randomly flakes out again later. The car entering sleep will sometimes...
My biggest concern is her Twitter block list and retweet pattern. She has preemptively blocked individuals with which she has had no interaction simply because they are Tesla autonomy supporters or testers, in a list closely aligned with that of TSLAQ. Indeed, she has retweeted not only vocal...
For those concerned about FSD beta, not only are there plenty of Vision-only cars on that beta (including Dirty Tesla, a prolific YouTube tester), currently at 2021.24.16, but every radar car will have the radar disabled when running the stack. Those receiving access through the button will thus...
It can take a long time to install and connect a transformer on the concrete pad and to then add the meter. Those are the true signs of an imminent opening.
Interested because this is right by my sister in law. However, I’ve been through the transformer and meter waiting game for my own local SC site in West Nyack, NY and so am prepared to be patient. We were stuck at this phase for many, many weeks due to our power company requiring the property to...
Navigated to this Supercharger this morning and the car nav said it was closed temporarily. I dropped by anyway to investigate and saw that much of the Palisades Center parking lot, including the Supercharger area, was yellow-taped off.
How do we update the database to reflect this temporary...
I saw the Tesla engineer there this morning and asked when it was going live, but he’d only tell me very soon. I guess it really was!
Map location in supercharger.info is incorrect and should be updated to a geocoordinate and not an address.
Stopped by again. What’s going on is that they are landscaping the parking lot by doing some repairs such as curb replacement and putting stones, small trees and shrubs into the various curb-defined planting areas. The Supercharger stall area is included and so now blends in with the rest of the...
Ah, glad to see this. I grew up, and my folks still live, on Staten Island close to there and I’ve been bemoaning the severe lack of fast-charging infrastructure on the island.
Stopped by today. Exactly the same state as in my 6/12 update. Nearby lot construction mentioned above is still in progress, although it looks like the excavation is now filled and just needs paving. If the delays relate to brand new paving over the whole SC area, I won’t complain. Otherwise...
I wouldn’t be surprised if the mall plans a press release for this and other upgrades and has a schedule they are confirming to, with no rush to get there sooner.
The cords are still strapped down on 16 of the 20 stalls, no numbers are yet painted, and, most importantly, there’s still no electrical meter. We still have some steps before this location activates.
That this finally opened after 6+ months gives me hope that West Nyack will soon open (first reported early December, now just awaiting meter and stall labeling).
Update: Meter enclosure (without actual meter) is now installed. Only other thing that looks unfinished is lamppost bases that require either unwrapping (if that’s a protective layer) or encasing.
Since 2019.20.1 is going out primarily to Europe and California, where Supercharging limits have just been increased (200kW CCS Europe, public SC V3 Fremont), this release must surely also include enabling this.
Means that probably all that awaits is installing the electrical meter (if not already there, despite not being visible from easy vantage points) and labeling the stalls.
Progress today. Seems that the transformer, which appeared installed, was not yet connected to O&R. There is a truck there now working on stringing cabling to a utility pole across the road and the transformer cabinet doors are open.
Removed? It has just moved. You now need to raise the music player card up from its slimmest, single row version to see the options icon near the bottom.
One change from last week is that the poles moved from being stacked together to being next to their respective mounting bases. So perhaps the contractors are active again. I still can’t find the meter, however.
Hopefully, the many potholes leading to the charging area will be patched soon. The...
Yes, I travel I-95 r.t. between Nyack and Baltimore every 4-6 weeks, charging at Hamilton each way (for the Panera, which has enough variety for picky eaters in my family). In the past 5 trips, I've had to wait for a stall twice (40%), one time almost a half hour in the freezing cold while my...
There are many obvious reasons, but none are relevant. The thread is for Supercharger status, not reasons for caring (which are individual and personal).
Big speed disparities on the Autobahn. While it’s hard to cruise left at under 150km/hr, the right lane is typically filled with those narrow European-style trucks, including road maintenance trucks.
I’m the opposite - I’m in Nyack and, while I like the Tarrytown site and having a nice restroom and Starbucks right there, I would love not having to pay the bridge toll or having to drive down to Paramus where I lose 7-8% charge just getting back home. Really looking forward to West Nyack but...
Stopped by myself today and it’s in exactly the same state it’s been in for many weeks. Everything but the transformer, which is still missing.
I do notice that there is significantly broken pavement in front of one of the end spots. I hope the mall patches the holes and doesn’t make us have to...
The Journal News has an article on new Palisades Center developments and it lists the Supercharger installation as having a grand opening in the spring:
Palisades Center: Here's what's new for 2019
The transformer pad is installed and visible from the access road and so you would have seen the transformer mounted there when you drove by. Everything in the photos was there back when I posted over 2 months ago now.
I live in Nyack. Perhaps we will run into each other sometime.
I first reported the West Nyack construction and have tried to stop by regularly to check on status. It has been fully complete since during the holiday week and is waiting only for transformer installation. Because utilities are...
Chatted with contractors yesterday. The location is complete except for the transformer. It’s up to the utility now. Unfortunately, they said this can take up to 30 days.
When I stopped by today, they were planting shrubs around the transformer and cabinet site for some camouflage. I guess everything will be ready to go once the transformer is finally in place. Anyone chat with a worker to ask if there’s an anticipated date?
Update as of 12/13 9:00am:
Looks like at least a few days still to go. They are currently moving down the row of stalls (about 1/3 done since yesterday), using a long orange contraption to run cabling from each kiosk to cabling previously laid parallel to the curb (which apparently runs to the...
Are those not the white cabinets at the end? Based on number of cabinets and spacing of stalls to estimate the ones hidden behind the trucks, I estimate 20.
