I just wandered in for a look on Saturday morning as its near my work, lots of people in there looking, and they weren't taking any detalls. They have a pretty nice original roadster in the showroom too.
Dont know, found this thread trying to answer the same question! I believe the Ludicrous + is worth about 25 - 30hp once the battery is warmed up to temperature from what I've read elsewhere.
First real test, 4 x bikes loaded onto the thule for a mountain biking trip to port Macquarie. Just made it with a charge at heatherbrae, definitely much worse range towing this setup but the car went beautifully. The charge cable just made it with 1cm of clearance to the pole so no need to...
Thats correct, it does relate to the solar plan. But 4000kwh over a year is not much feed in, only around 11kw per day.
Its probably ok for people with smaller solar systems.
I was just looking at the OVO plan, its listed as 10c FIT but in the fine print its limited to 4000kw per year then reverts to 7c. Still a good plan but thats only avout 11kw a day feed in and I average about 40 to 50kw a day.
The promised 1000km range at product launch in 2017 seems kind of stupid now. Based on the plaid, it dosent need a 200kw pack to hit the claimed performance figures and roadster owners dont need such ridiculous range.
With a 100 - 120kw pack it would be ample for the performance and keep the...
Nope, haven't seen one in real life but the difference in the rear guards being flared out from the doors back is fairly obvious in the video.
Its obvious to me as a 5 year model S owner but I get most people wouldn't notice.
I looked into it and decided the base models around 200k are too slow (0-100 in mid 5s) and the turbo S at 400k is too rich for my blood. They look great but not much room inside, the Model S is better as fast family GT car IMO.
Im looking for a 2020 Model S performance if I can find a good one...
The EQE53 looks like a nice car but performance wise slightly behind the refresh long-range S and not in the same league as the Plaid S. I see it as a bit boring and not special in the way a Plaid or Taycan is.
For myself, I viewed the Plaid as a nice comfortable daily driver with supercar...
The bike rack I have is towball mounted.
Fitting the hitch pin to connect to the tow hitch is not too hard, access os ok.
The anti rattle solution they use with this is just a bolt that inserts into a threaded part of the towbar and tightens against the hitch. Havent attempted to do that yet but...
Just spent my Saturday installing the EV stealth towbar. Price was $1050 delivered within 2 days from ordering and its the Australian made version.
First step, remove the rear bar and crash beam. The instructions were ok but watching a youtube tutorial first was more helpful. Took about 90...
Nothing would surprise me with Tesla.
I did wonder if the final price was going to be well over the price they took reservations at and this was a nice way out for them. Get customers to refund their reservations and buy a 3 or Y.
The $3000 discount offered to cancelled orders will get some...
This sums up my feelings perfectly!

I think ill put my immaculate 2018 75D up for sale and look at getting a low milage 2019 or 2020 Dual Motor S. There is a few nice ones currently for sale. Might also have a look at a taycan.
I also have no interest in 3 or Y, we bought a Y for the wife but I wouldn't want one for myself...
I think for a bike rack use, trailer mode will be no advantage. My bike rack with 4 bikes I want to attach comes in at about 78kg so I will pass on the tesla version with its 72kg ball weight rating and opt for aftermarket.
He isn't talking about the 20k Carbon Ceramic upgrade. He is asking about the standard brakes on the refresh which are now painted red and the rear brakes have a dodgy cover to make them look like bigger brakes than they are.
Dont think these are going to be any better than your current...
