It's available for mid 14's and newer. Earlier than that requires a different wiring harness for the first generation onboard charger. The tech that installed mine was pretty sure they weren't going to make it available for those cars.

I travel in Canada quite a bit and used to use the Chademo until I got CCS. All the stations that have Chademo now also support CCS.

I dont know about the Highland but I've used the Chademo adapter successfully on my 2018 3 for years before they finally came out with the CCS retrofit. As for the Highland, it comes with CCS compatibility built in so why bother with Chademo, just get a CCS adapter.

I dont think the performance option is encoded in the VIN. My P85 shows up as an 85S in carfax and other VIN decoders. My performance 3 shows up as a Long Range.

That's not how it works. The car displays current rated miles based on the current capacity of the battery. The only way to find actual miles is by driving it from full to empty.

You can't compare that 164 "actual" miles to 140 "rated". That 164 miles of actual range is out of a new car rated range of 208. If your car is showing 140 rated then your actual is only going to be less than 100.

S60s had a rated range of 208 when new, 140 now is pretty bad. The 60 batteries were crap. Between that and the issues surrounding Supercharging, I wouldn't touch a 60 for any price.

Forget about Chademo, it's a dying standard. No changes are required to the car to use it but it does require a very clunky adapter that Tesla no longer sells and is limited to about 45kW. Your '13 S is likely too old for the CCS upgrade. The '16 X is definitely eligible for the CCS upgrade...

It's in the Tesla app. Go to location which should pop up a map, move the map to wherever your interested and turn on the view chargers button (yellow circle) on the map. Click on the charger you're interested in and all the details are there.
