Yep, you also have the conventional option of opening Apple Home and opening it manually. GeoIP is significantly more convenient. It’s basically a little box you can zip tie on or 3D print an enclosure. Install took less than 5 minutes.

Opening app and hitting button = free Automatic opening = paid Those are the two options with MyQ. I don’t like either so I went with a different route.

It looks like almost 100 people got VINs on the tracker since the 23rd. Tesla was really pumping them out over the last week. If they keep this rate up all of us will have VINs assigned in a little over two weeks.

I made a checklist using everyday chris check list and the github one. This should be the ultimate checklist for highland pickup. I can share if anyone is interested.

Shoot, I’d love to make a final payment before VIN. It guarantees my point of sale rebate. Who knows how long we wait for delivery. It could be in 2025 without a rebate for all we know.

As we’re seeing more members with approaching EDDs or in their EDDs get pushed to July - August I wonder if Tesla is reserving June for something. Maybe to pump out all the MY deliveries?

Kinda wish they would provide updates after ordering. Something like manufacturing start date, currently manufacturing with an ETA, waiting to be loaded onto trailer, etc.

I wonder if Tesla should have “expedited” delivery and VIN assignment for a fee for people that need a car asap or want theirs earlier. Something as quick as next same spec config as theirs off the line going straight on the trailer to the showroom for scheduled delivery.

My EDD from May 30 - June 13 just got moved to July 15 - August 19 today. My biggest fear is we are in the “calm before the storm” period before all the major car magazines release the full performance information of the car causing a mass amount of orders further delaying orders. Really bummed out.

I wouldn’t necessarily say “never” . If I didn’t have my local city have a rebate on level 2 chargers I probably wouldn’t get one. There’s a supercharger right across from me for emergencies

Mine had that same location and it was over an hour away from me as well. I had Tesla change it to a closer one that’s 20 minutes away from me.

I guess home assistant can do that. When my wall connector got setup I was shocked to see it was discovered. It came up with a ton of information. The car comes with a bunch more and can be automated.

That’s actually a good idea. I do have also have a Pi zero 2W that was running Octopi that I no longer use. Only problem is that it doesn’t use 5ghz which would affect transfer speeds depending on how good the access point signal is.

Mine is setup and ready to go. I have a release date order so I’m hoping VIN gets assigned soon. I’ll be willing to test it once my M3P comes in. I have Truenas scale and a spare 1TB SSD that I don’t mind abusing for the file transfers. But that’s more sever end than compatibility with Highland.

I think at this point “VIN assignment” or “Delivery date” are about as reliable as EDD. A little bit better, but still pretty unreliable. Especially considering someone Carmaxed their car the day before and their scheduled delivery date got canceled.

Looks like we’ve had a few users with black interiors get their EDD pushed back. I’m release day order grey/black that was June 5th - June 30th. I’ve been taking EDD with a grain of salt as there is no way to break them down. But the fact that our dates have been pushed back looks like a good sign.

When I asked for a build date or an updated EDD for my launch day June 5th- June 30th grey/black M3P this was the response I got today.

Also forgot to mention if this was another manufacturer any that made it to the lot would have a 10k+ markup and the chances of you even getting one would be very slim. Patience is key here and most of us knows tesla doesn't have the best record of keeping things in a timely matter. I'm taking...
