Even when they do "not" match between left and right sides of the vehicle? Shouldn't both sides be either equal or unequal in their fitments? Maybe the asymmetric thing is to be expected. Anyway, doesn't matter, i don't know why i'm even replying here, but just reporting left and right sides...
Well, at least i tried, maybe i can get an A for "effort".
This is POS for $100,000 vehicle...
Paint chips (multiple paint chips, WTTF, i don't care if from factory or during transportation, in such condition CANNOT PASS THE ****ING PDI !!!)

I'm still going over to the lot today and look over.
If, for some freakish reason the exterior is to my OCD'ish par, and interior as well (of course they won't let me test drive) then, (considering i "could" use $7,500 business deductible on my side gig as software consultant, which i already...
And fully loaded X7 xDrive40i even with their Crystal Headlights and full leather interiot/dash, comes to out to door, $106,962.85. So that's difference of around $7K'ish.
Save the $7K'ish --> go with MXP
Pay the $7K'ish --> go with X7
Built by Tesla vs Built by BMW, that is what comes down...
That's one of (was) my main concern, the Raleigh, NC SC is at the moment the "only" local Tesla SC, from my home about ~20 mins drive. And my home is within their mobile service radius. And i work at RTP, so their mobile service would also support the parking lot at my workplace. And i heard...
Decided.
Getting X7, fully optioned, with the Crystal Headlights. lol...
I will get EV.
But not right now, timing for me to get EV is not now.
But i will, EV is the future.
Probably will trade in the X3 and get M3P.
This allows the family to have the larger SUV, while i venture into "my"...
Yep, precisely,
From the "need" of Toyota Hybrid Grand Highlander SUV goes to "want" Model X Plaid / BMW X7
Damn Toyota Hybrid on average has ~1 "year" of waiting list
No, to the cotrary.
I would "on the fence" to jump over to MXP, to pick up this coming Saturday.
I do have 2019 X3 M40i, and b58 inline 6 is high quality, IMHO. I like the inline 6, and that is probably only drive train i will get in ICE car. The other 2 BMW's, 2004 e46 m3 (inline 6) and...
Yep, totally makes sense.
And i should know since i own 3 BMw's "at the moment".
But i don't drive them like if they are "stolen". And well maintained, scheduled maintenance, preventative, etc. etc.
I'm just wondering on the point of car holding up "just because of built/made by Tesla"...
Thanks all for the feedback's.
I guess one way to ask my original question is, simply, to those owning (for now) to keep (and not be on a car hopping cycles, since most ev owner's will lease, primarily due to technologies continue to evolve, etc, etc.)
After 10 to 12 years, whether MX will...
Not pointing you about, but you seem to be one of "regular and more vocal" about the (general) issues with Model X and Tesla company. Sorry to hear that you have and still going through issues with your new Model X. That sucks. Such transparency and sharing (up and) down's about the Model X...
Yes, the 2022 and 2023 X7 qualities are well documented as being below BMW's standard, sub-par. But apparently BMW did "something" because 2024/2025 the quality just isn't comparable, couple folds.
Yeah, i know.
But given your experiences in owning MX/MXP, would you insist on driving the EV over BMW X7 (say their inline 6, xDrive40i) fully decked to 100% fully optioned, assuming $ is no objection?
Comes down to owning/driving EV SUV over the ICE SUV such as BMW X7?
As a comparison...
the title should really be, "hours", to see what the folks are seeing to charge to 80% and 100% on their 2021+ MX with 100kWh battery, using Level2 240V level 2 charger at 48A,
0-80% SoC --> ~7 hours
0-100% SoC --> ~9 hours?
Hours to charge 2021+ MX/MXP 100kWh battery on Level 2 48A Wall...
Seems like this topic would have been discussed to death, but searching here doesn't quite turn up similar discussion.
So, 2021+ MX is shown as having 100kWh battery.
MXLR 335 miles range, EPA est, at 100% SoC.
MXP 326 miles range, EPA est, at 100% SoC.
On paper, charging speed from max...
Yep, came back from the SC earlier today, and was told the same.
Inventory's configuration match has birth date in March, when the configuration's factory order was submitted in April.
The vehicle's i suppose has been sitting on the (remote) lot for a month or so, showing ~19 miles'ish. Then...
General question, non-specific to any particular model.
Anyone experienced with similar situation, i.e. looked over the inventory and there is a match.
Went over to the lot. Looked it over, inspected, took photo of the window sticker, showing the VIN. And it's crap in usual fit/finish, etc...
Yep. So, only the ContiSilent, despite what the product page says,
Lame...
This will also be my first also experience with Continental. Have PS4S and Bridgestone RFT on other rides.
As title stated, anyone actually seen ContiSeal label/symbol on their MX/MXP Continental tires, eg. Continental CrossContact LX Sport ?
I can see the ContiSeal symbol, and that is about it.
Continental's own webpage describing their EV tires on Tesla as OE tires show the ContiSeal technology...
Appointment made with CPI to add smoke/heat detectors and CO in the garage. Tiny discount from State Farm, lol.
State Farm 6 mos premium on MXP. MX and MXP carries the same cost.
Unfortunately state of NC does not get the Tesla's own insurance plan. :(
This was delivered.
There are many, many phone mounts for MX, Tesla in general. Enough to make my head spin.
Been a long time ProClip user, have it on all our vehicles.
Glad to see ProClip has one for MX refresh.
~9 miles range difference.
And if one is getting the 6 seats configuration then the $ difference is $8.5K.
On LR,
Plaid interior comes with
LR comes with the (various) wood Decor.
If anything from this lengthy thread that changed my approach is above, FWIW i've changed to 48 mos. Makes sense to me, at least, this being Tesla, i would like to pay off the car by the end of the 4 years warranty (way the family will use X, should be coming in under 50K miles).
$867.60/mo at...
