Echoing that that FWDs are rock solid on our 2017. We also had a 2019 Model S that we got rid of. X wins hands down as a family car. We test drove the Y and have lots of friends with it but the suspension and tighter space compared to the X didn’t make sense for us.

Forgot to mention, both of the Model X’s also have tow package, upgraded stereo, and air suspension. I’ve driven them both and they’re smooth. The 2018 has the bigger 22 inch wheels which we would probably need to swap out for improved range.

Lots of good conversations in this thread. We have a 2019 Performance Model S Raven that we’re thinking of swapping to a performance Model Y. Any comparisons between those 2? We have a 4 year old so the Y form factor works better for getting him in and out of the car but I love the S.

Thanks I actually have a Model S Performance from the era when they made all of them have the hardware with the software locking you from using it so I know its possible to do safely on this particular one.
