The problem with this specific case is that the service center had to perform a diagnosis. When I brought my car in, I knew what the problem was, so the service center did not perform any diagnosis and thus I didn't have to pay for any labor.

What you said was correct about a year ago. Tesla has since merged these two stacks, so Autopilot is essentially FSD on a highway with no lane change.

On the choosing the correct lane to turn from topic, I wish FSD would just skip the turn right away and try to come around later, rather than get stunned, pause, and then slowly pick up speed - not sure what kind of training data resulted in this kind of NN behavior.
