    Tire Rotation Pattern?

Front to back is sufficient, and how Tesla mobile service does it on vehicles with the same size tires on all 4 corners. Jacking at the rear jack point is preferred, and again how Tesla mobile service does it, because the the weight distribution for the Model Y is 45% front / 55% rear.

450 miles in, still at 99% calibration

That seems unreasonably long. Any time I have recalibrated my cameras (HW3), it took less than 15 miles when driven on a well marked road (like below) and changing lanes a couple times. Have you tried going into service mode and looking at what it shows for the cameras and what the camera...

Lesson for Tesla Owners - Tire Service from Tesla or not

@AbraDabra007 Had your wife gone to America's tire, you would have probably paid about $375 for a new tire after fees and taxes. Basically you paid a $75 "convenience fee" for Tesla roadside to come replace the tire, which is less than 0.5 hours of Tesla's labor rate. Not the most cost...

Oil leak at rear of '23 MYP

There is lubricant in the rear drive unit. It's a type of transmission fluid intended for a sealed system, rather than a motor oil that needs to be changed. There is a pump and filter that circulate and clean this lubricant. You probably have a failed seal on one of these.

    FSD free trial is over

I got to play with 12.3.3, 12.3.4 and 12.3.6 (for one day) before my trial ended. I was very impressed with the improvement over v11. I'm not going to pay $99 per month to have it full time, but I will be far more likely to subscribe for day trips. Before, when FSD was $199 per month, I...

What is the next update from 2024.8.7?

That is a bit more difficult. The problem is, all the firmware tracking sites tend to show the releases in descending numeric order and not chronological order. For example, the 2024.8.x branch is numerically newer than 2024.3.x, but 2024.8.x was first released on March 12 whereas the...

FSD v12 is on the 2024 branch as of March 27th. v12.3.2.1 is on 2024.3.6 and v12.3.3 is on 2024.3.10. You can track software versions here. Unfortunately you said you are on 2024.8.7, and Tesla will not roll your car back to a lower software revision, so you will have to wait until FSD v12...

    Goodyear Eagle 1 tire damage

If you can see intrusion into metal threads under the rubber flap in the sidewall gouge, it is probably best to err on the side of caution and replace the tire. If it is just a superficial flap of rubber, you can glue it back down with a product like this (which is just glorified superglue).

Correct-ish, a half inch thick piece of foam is invisible to all but the highest frequencies. A thunk would be a lower frequency. It's there to deal with frequencies more like the "ping" sound when you smack a red dodge ball (middle school PE trigger warning). As you stated it has no effect...

Is Tesla's "estimated 3-year gas savings" claim misleading?

I agree, it is stupid to show this as part of the pricing for the car. But I will also concede that it was not misleading in my case. I drive around 12,000 miles per year. My total cost for charging in 2022 was $435 and $455 for 2023. I charge at home 50 weeks out of the year, and 2 weeks...
