The people lived about an hour away, and brought a check from their bank. They met me at my bank where my bankers validated and deposited the check before my bankers notarized the title over.
As with any transaction, using your intuition and people skills is always wise - getting to know them...
FWIW, I just cleaned mine up nice, took some good golden hour photos with my phone like it was a bringatrailer ad, and put it up on Facebook Marketplace. After about 10 days I had 2 buyers simultaneously come forward with full asking price, which was 6,500 more than my best trade in offer...
From the audio information window pick the icon at the bottom right that looks like vertical EQ sliders, which takes you to EQ, but also has tabs on the left for audio sources, and and a tab named "Options" where you will find a toggle for noise cancelling.
I put on a 20" square set up at 285/35 with the Michelin PS all-seasons, or the same width as OEM Plaid 19" rear tires all around. Did not notice any change whatsoever in steering effort or tram lining. Very slight change in ride quality, but close to the 19s, better than the 21s, and massively...
The sport seats look terrific. Not sure I actually want them, since my Plaid is a distance machine for me and therefore long distance comfort is paramount, but I love that they exist and would like to find a way to test drive them somehow.
Thanks for clarifying. I think it means all the OBD port is useful for is a little bit of low voltage power! Anyway, it's working very well for me, so appreciate your work on it. Cheers.
This is the one I used. Hopefully the link works - Amazon links always seem wonky to me: OBD Adapter
So I just started from the radar detector end: wherever you want to place it at the top of the windshield, start your radar detector power end there, leaving a 3 or 4 inch pigtail sticking...
FWIW, I recently wired in a V1G2, and while researching I was reading TeslaTap's Accessory Power Guide of all the places to tap 12V power in the car, ranking them as Poor, Fair, Good and Best. To my surprise, they show the OBD connector as one of the best locations. I didn't like the idea at...
A terrific 2021 Tesla Model Y Performance, 51K miles in Midnight Silver Metallic and the White interior, which is the fastest accelerating and best looking of the Model Y’s to my eye.
I am the original buyer and the only driver of the car. I have all the records and original window sticker. I...
I don't like the look of 19's and don't like the ride of 21's so I was aiming to split the difference. I put a square set of 20" Tsportline TSF's I bought on the recent sale for now. Pilot Sport All Seasons. But I don't have so much invested in it that I feel precluded from going a different...
Full depth, whatever that is. They were taken off 2 weeks after delivery when the aftermarket wheels arrived, and quite frankly I babied it since my belief as a mechanical engineer is even electric cars have gears and bearings needing a break in. Still doing that. I still have a Model Y...
Tesla fam,
These are the new take-offs from my 2024 Model S Plaid, as I installed aftermarket wheels shortly after delivery. I thought about keeping them, but I don't like the space they are taking up in my garage. Everything from factory included, such as the OEM aero covers and TPMS sensors...
This thread is for the general discussion of the marketplace listing 2024 Tesla OEM 19" Tempest Wheels, Covers, TPMS. Please add to the discussion here.
Same. Distorted view through the rear view mirror. I've test driven a lot of MS in 2023 and they all seemed similar. I assumed it as more of a design or angle thing. Two and half weeks since my delivery, I don't find myself noticing it much.
Beautiful @TSportline! I saw that you have a St Patricks Day sale going on and I ordered TSF's on Friday, paid with Shopify but didn't put the Lucky10 and Luckyship coupon codes on I guess - can you apply those? My order number is #1054079 and I sent an email to [email protected] on...
For those who ordered in 2023 or very early 2024 and didn't receive or respond to this January 5, 2024 email when the official EPA range estimates were being re-stated, I'd propose that is probably a barrier to VIN assignment.
Yes. I imagine both have the same haptic now, though I would have thought they had the same before. In any event, I like the way it feels/works on my '24.
Following up on our prior M3P/M3L discussion, looks like that model will be 618HP, and therefore close the 670HP MSLR as we had discussed, and peak power at a higher speed.
I really can't think of anything in my life that I wait to discuss the specifications of after I've committed to a purchase. You guys are too advanced for me. That's OK though, and your decision. There are lots of wheel manufacturers and suppliers for me to work with - literally every other...
Agree with both perspectives for different reasons. I bought an MSP a week ago with 19's because I don't like the arachnids and will be buying a set of wheels. I will spend signficant money on them. The idea that offsets are somehow proprietary does make me chuckle. There are obviously...
The MSLR is breathtakingly fast and by all measurements we would be raving about how fast it is, if the Plaid didn’t exist. My guess is the MSLR is the way to go, but it’s super easy to demo drive or even take an overnight demo of an MSLR. I think you should do that and get more comfortable...
Correct - an e46 was the first new (of maybe 6 or 7) BMWs after I had owned a used E30. Yes, I like the freedom from maintenance that an EV affords. And I admit I don't mind mechanical project now and then if no one is waiting for it. I have a 4-post lift in one of the bays of my garage that...
I should probably also mention that weeks ago, where there was reporting about prices changing for '24 deliveries, Tesla did end up honoring all that. My price was 89,990 + 2,000 for white interior - 1,000 for being a Cybertruck reservation holder = 90,990. Ultra Red was free at the time I...
Sticker attached, and range is 359 for a 19" wheel Plaid, but we knew that already. Got there about 5:15p, but it was probably 6:45p before their delivery system came back up. Car hilariously delivered in off road mode.
System cam back up about 30 mins ago and I was able to take delivery of my Plaid. Car looked great. They are reliant on that system though. I don’t think they would have let me take it home without the switchover from delivery mode.
To be clear, the 21" tires on the LR and Plaid are different - an all-season Goodyear and a summer-only Michelin, respectively. The issue seems to be more prevalent on the Plaid tire than the LR tire, probably because the treadwear rating of the summer tire is so much less.
Right - only place PPF is on the car from the factory is here, ahead of the rear wheels, on this bad picture of a '24 MSLR I demo drove recently. I was actually taking a picture of the wheel/tire, but the PPF is shown incidentally. FWIW, if you're worried about rock chips, this PPF does not...
I'd stick with the MSLR. Though I have an MSP on order, both MSLR and MSP are significantly more powerful than the MYP (I also have one). The benefit of Plaid option would be completely wasted on my wife, if anything like yours.
Right. I'm waiting for the car to officially arrive to schedule the delivery date.
Nothing really happened after VIN assigned. In my case, I requested a 2 week hold, the hold later expired and the next day a new VIN was assigned. I requested the hold because I didn't expect the 3 month...
This is my story, and net of the 2 week hold I asked for, it's close to what Tesla had predicted from the start. Others, especially those ordering MSLR's, have a different story and many have been impacted by the EPA estimated range re-testing.
