Got my alloys powder coated today. Didn’t like the chrome alloys against the black satin trim. Also decided to go a bit brash with the callipers :-)

Perfect, thanks for the photos. I agree, the Matt / gun metal grey style finish looks classy but I’ve heard Matt finish gets the dirtiest / grubbiness the quickest?

Has anyone got any pictures of powder coating the new 19” sport alloys? I’m trying to decide between satin black and a gun metal grey. Chrome doesn’t match new dechrome finish in my opinion.

Great. I’ll check it out. To be clear I don’t need 100% range every day. But the previous advice of keep topped up to 80% doesn’t seem to apply anymore to LFP. I’m trying to work out whether regular 100% charging, say twice a week, will have a detrimental impact.

It’s very annoying that the model Y comes with black rims for alloys to match chrome delete yet M3 has silver rims that mismatch.

I think its the guy from Glasgow who recommended a place local. 100%, it makes so much sense now that they are going for black instead of chrome on the car. If you check the US model Y out the alloy options are black as well.

Had a quick attempt at photoshopping a satin black finish on the new 19" alloys. Looks much better. I'll probably got this route for simplicity.
