Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

Obviously the only answer is, activate ski mode and fit through the gap. Jeez its like nobody even thinks Knightrider was real.

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

We've had mountains upon mountains of Mach E's stacked up in our site for months now. Every scrap of available land had a Mach-E on it. They have finally just launched a 0% interest deal to try and shift them.

Tesla app to set up service is IDIOTIC - change my mind

I ordered some trim clips - popped in on the way past, grabbed them, got charged through the app. Was actually pretty seamless for me at least,

Tesla app to set up service is IDIOTIC - change my mind

I like the way the app works generally and its much preferred to having to ring a service centre and negotiate dates over the phone. The only problem I've had is when I needed to booking my steering wheel in for a second visit and it HAD to go to a service centre, but the app kept insisting I...

Spare parts availability - 4 months and still no delivery date?

Sometimes I wonder if this parts shortage is a communication thing. I have read a few threads in the past where someone has been waiting for a part for ages and then eventually speaks to the right person and the part magically arrives.

Spare parts availability - 4 months and still no delivery date?

Realistically though, if people on the internet knew how to resolve this joke of a situation, the repair centre wouldn't be full of Tesla's awaiting parts. Unfortunately the situation kind of speaks for itself. It's crap but unavoidable.

    Speed limit and warming chime

I wonder if it will be enabled come May though when all new cars have to have something like that... I think its May.

    [UK] 2024.14.x

First long drive on 14.6 today and twice the mirrors folded in and back out by themselves. Once on a straight road and once when I pulled into a space to let someone past. Weird.

    Bought a Model 3 from a 3rd Party Seller

Lots of us run non OEM tyres on our cars. A lot of it started when the original ones were just impossible to get hold of thanks to Covid and what not and then people started realising that the foam lining does in the accoustic tyres does quite little, except jack up the price. I run michelin...

Todays problem: Steering Assist Reduced, Park Assist Not Available, ABS, Traction Control and Air Bag Warnings (and probably others)

I believe they sold it the following month and left Tesla far behind so unfortunately your chances of getting an update on this, are slim. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/my-nightmare-relationship-with-tesla-came-to-an-end-today.302820/

My experience taking Tesla to court about FSD

Twice the interest I paid then. But I was of the understanding you would be charging interest for the entirety of the loan, "upcoming or no" you paid for FSD when you purchased the car and 3/4/5 years later when you paid off the finance, you still didn't have FSD.
  12. Billbrown1982

My experience taking Tesla to court about FSD

That would be a tough one for me.....depends if you have the energy/willpower to keep fighting it but you've gone this far so don't see why not. Gotta be looking at what, £800 interest give or take? Or it was by company so might be totally different rates compared to mine.

    carbon fiber rear spoiler deterioration

Could you wrap it? Feel like that would be easier and probably last longer. Althought might be tricky now its actually on the car I suppose. Don't have any experience with painting etc so can't help you there unfortunately
  14. Billbrown1982

My experience taking Tesla to court about FSD

The problem is there is no middle ground. For every person that believes in Tesla/Elon/FSD etc etc there are just as many people like yourself that believe they are the devil and that when you make statements like "German brands that do everything perfectly", to me at least, you lose all...

My experience taking Tesla to court about FSD

Does anyone know when the offending video about FSD that turned out to be a scam disappeared from the Tesla site? Way back machine shows there was "something" there but it won't load it so I can check. EDIT - Nevermind it just randomly loaded. That'll do

Octopus Electric Universe app/card and public charge points

I've had one pretty much since day 1. Still got that £10 welcome credit too 🤣 I very rarely use public charging. My first year of ownership I had a few supercharger miles and years 2 and 3 I think i've public charged up to 10 times. Couple times at a caravan park, card just wouldn't work at...

My experience taking Tesla to court about FSD

Screw it. I'm gonna go for this. Knock my car down to EAP and should be due about £3400 plus interest. Just gonna have to scroll back to page 1 and start making notes 🤣

    Good bye

Yeah much better paying subscription for heated seats or annual software updates. Don't mistake, not defending Tesla. I just think that ALL car companies are equally scummy.

Opening a ticket is free and always possible some kind of software fix will clear it.

Shamefully I did not know that was a thing. Although according to that site, there are none. Or at least, I assume, none outstanding.

    Boot opening

Last week I created an account with motoreasy.com becasue I wanted to get their alloy wheel insurance. You have to create an account with them first.... Anyway, on my login page it shows a bunch of recalls for my vehicle. Not sure where they are grabbing this information from mind but is it...

MODEL X ONE MONTH LATE TO A RECALL

What did Tesla say when you enquired with them? How long has this problem been affecting your vehicle? Did you raise a service request? What did they say then?
  24. Billbrown1982

Mp3 stuck at 16 amp charging after using public charger

It would have to be pretty bad to affect the charging I imagine but have you checked for any crap in the charge port that may have been on the public charger? Long shot but all I can think of

    Pedestrian Warning System (PWS) Retrofit

Honestly I tend to find there are 2 types of pedestrian anyway. Ones that are alert and aware of what is around them, if it makes a sound or not. Ones that are just blissfully unaware and your EV could be going off like an air raid siren and they would still be strolling across the car park in...

    Boot opening

As a 2020 car, unless you've done a tonne of miles, its probably only "just" out of warranty right? Might be asking for some goodwill.
  27. Billbrown1982

    Boot opening

Try the 2 button reset first, if that doesn't work. Pop the bonnet, disconnect the 12volt Then lift the back seat up, there is a connector under there, disconnect that. Leave it for a minute or two, reconnect in reverse. As MrBadger said the car has efuses that reset, buuuuut only if the car...

    Boot opening

Assume you've done the whole 2 button reset thing. If that doesn't solve it I would potentially try disconnecting the HV battery reset as well. Could be a fuse. Anything else not working? I fitted an aftermarket hydraulic bonnet and must have shorted something because none of my lights were...

Model 3 window tinting - worries and request for recommendations (London/Essex, UK)

Oh I see its from having the windscreen tinted. That makes more sense, although anyone half competent could easily protect these areas and just not go ham with the spray bottle. That said, I didn't have my windscreen done. Living out in Essex, I am willing to roll the dice on my windows but I...

Model 3 window tinting - worries and request for recommendations (London/Essex, UK)

Also not heard of any of those concerns tbh. I had my car fully tinted by Lussivo in Harlow when it was brand new, March 21. No issues to date. Alternatively there is the rather famous place in Basildon, Dub Customs. They have done some very famous vehicles in the past and have glowing...

    What’s your job?

I work for Tesla customer service. Pretty easy job to be honest with a LOT of free time to spend flicking through online forums.
  32. Billbrown1982

My experience taking Tesla to court about FSD

I'd say its reasonably obvious. Because there's 2 outcomes out there. 1. People have been offered a deal that comes with a NDA that they have happily accepted. 2. People have been denied and would subsequently be posting about how crappy the situation is, in just about every forum available...

    Matrix headlights - finally???

Got my update today and activated them before heading for home. Other than the full beams being on way more than before I found it impossible to tell if they were actually doing much. Felt very subsconscious following a learner down the road with my blue full beam icon illuminated. But, nobody...

Octopus "Failed To Trigger Bump Charge".

Mine has not worked since day 1. I can only recall once in the last 2 years or so that I've needed it of course, at which point I just turned off Octopus and started the charge via the car controls.

M3 windows opened/vented themselves this morning

Definitely used to be an issue with puddle lights I remember that story. Drove through a puddle and got water up the door seal and then something with the puddle lights made the windows vent. Would make sense given the glorious weather we are having right now. Difficult to figure out unfortunately.

    Unreliable charging using Intelligent Octopus

Its also as simple as your car not being online. Such as when you open the app and it just sits there grayed out and eventually comes up with a 505 error. I'm sure we have all seen that. If the car doesn't respond when Octopus tries to connect then there is a delay until it tries again and this...

    Sentry drain reduction coming?

Think you hit the nail on the head. We will probably get some kind of implementation where the system shuts itself down and by the time its back up and running, the thing you wanted it to record has long since been missed.

Model 3 poll - have you changed battery

Try doing it when driving.....at night..... I did it once on the way home from work because my spotify just would not co-operate under any circumstances. I'd heard about people doing it so thought, why not. Its kind of eerie driving along the road with no light inside the cabin at all, no...

    2024 Insurance Costs

I'm actually a little annoyed at myself. I did the insurance dance as close to the magic number of days before renewal as I could, but it had to be a weekend as during the week I just don't get the time, and I bought 2 new policies on Sunday. Come wednesday and I get my renewals through for...

    Rear seat cover for Labradors.

Glass and rubber, but do be careful if you have any window tints etc. I did read some reports about the clips scratching the glass when it moves as the door opens and closes. I've not had any issue myself but, always a possibility.

    2024 Insurance Costs

Any in essex taken car fir MOT , if so where ?

I've got mine booked in with my sons friend next week, over Stanford-le-hope way. Will happily report back on how that goes. I did consider kwik fit as an option, mainly because they were the only ones I could find that definitely (supposedly) did Tesla regularly. Alternatively, the local...

    Service Centre assistance with self-repair

No different to any company in the world i'd say. You phone up your TV supplier to cancel and one guy will say ok bye! while the next will move heaven and earth to keep you as a customer. Purely revolves around the human being.

    Model 3 maintenance

IF I ever end up doing it myself and not getting Tesla to do it, I would definitely be installing the aftermarket magnetic cover so future filter changes would be pretty painless. What I should do really is get that kit in so next time I have the car serviced I can bung the tech a tenner and...
