Disappointed a lot of the useful features require premium connectivity. I’ve noticed since 2024.8 that my car doesn’t transition from home wifi to my personal hotspot like it used to either. All settings the same. More being done to push the subscription uptake ?

First winter too. I’ve found in my SR+ that in summer % x2 = miles of range, in winter % x1.5 = miles of range. Just a very rough RoT obviously.

I use scheduled departure every day and only pre-warm weekdays. I’m on the latest software 44.10.1 and I have had no issues. Even after nursery run and plug back in at 0830

I have used the inserts in my M3, I have a black interior though but I don’t think you’ll be able to see them when the seat is installed. Makes it easier to fit the seat and peace of mind that I won’t rip anything. Also have a Tiguan, good choice!

With my wife’s phone in the upstairs bedroom and mine in my pocket having put the kid in the passenger rear seat it still selects her profile quite often. Does my head in. So not sure it’s even to do with the antenna as I walk past the passenger door every day. The profiles and keys are all set...

We attached ours to the centre headrest which does lift and is similar to ‘normal’ headrests. Can still see the child well enough by tilting it, although we now have 2 kids so just need to pick the favourite if they’re both in the car. . . .

You can tick a box to disable walk away door lock whilst at home only. This sounds like it would've helped.

There is decode of the various UMC faults and the lights each will display in the UMC manual. This might help you fault find. My permanent solution is a UMC and has no issues since March, charging most days...

Direct line best for our M3 SR+ at £490. Call them up before too and ask for Autopilot (even though it is standard) to be added as a modification. Knocked ~£30 off for me.

Live traffic is included in all navigation calculations, regardless of premium or not. Live traffic displayed on the map in colours is premium connectivity only.

No I routed the cable under my garage door and then bought a 'holster' for the connector. The main UMC block and 3-pin are always indoors. I had to chip a bit of the floor away and have taped up part of the cable to stop any chafing. But this all works well for our needs.

UMC & 3-pin. Works a treat with the usual caveats about electrics etc. And means you can use the button.

No. Once in drive press the WiFi button and connect to your hotspot. It'll then remain connected as you are already in drive. Satellite maps are not included on standard connectivity so you wouldn't be able to have these selected regardless. Same for the live traffic visualisation.

Saved this as a favourite in the car not long after delivery. Came up trump's yesterday with a long wait in the car and a 10month old. Cbeebies saved the day. Highly recommended. Thanks
