2021 Model 3 with v12 no large screen?

This from notateslaapp.com Update: Intel vehicles are only getting the full screen visualizations if they have FSD and they’re in the U.S. or Canada. It’s not clear why the full screen visualization option is not available without FSD since other vehicles without FSD, but with the AMD processor...

    Charging Status in Tesla App

Charging at 120 volts @ 12 amps is very inefficient. The car uses 400 watts to run the charging hardware, so you are drawing 1440 watts of power (120v*12A) but only utilizing 1040 watts to charge the battery. Roughly just 70% efficiency. Using a 240v at 32A, 7680 watts, charging efficiency goes...

    Help adjusting coilovers

For the fronts, if you’re raising one corner at a time, loosen the damper to bushing bolt and disconnect the stabilizer bar. (The stabilizer bar restricts lifting at a certain point.) Now lift the suspension and measure from top of fender well to hub center to desired height. This also...

Will my M3LR Modern Spare work on new MYP?

I had the same situation. Modern spare sells just the tire for MY which uses the same wheel. IIRC it was ~$100. This is what I did.

    Spare Tire Installed!

Implemented this hack this afternoon. Pushing back the foam was harder than anticipated. Looks good though. Hope there’s no additional noise generated from not having the sub-trunk tub.

Tein EnduraPro Issue - Squeaking Noise

Have you consider that it might be a piece of dirt or gravel wedged between the brake caliper and the rotor. This came to mind when you mentioned the squeak got louder after a car wash. On my previous M3 I always had a squeak from the rear brake(s) after I washed the car. Mike didn’t persist...

Done giving Tesla the benefit of the doubt on Autopilot and adaptive cruise control- it's JUNK.

Curious to know what issues you have with TACC. I have very little to complain about with mine. The unexpected braking thing is now a rare occurrence

Tein EnduraPro Plus adjustable shock absorbers fitted

The install is not difficult. The most tedious part is compressing the front springs and locating them in the correct orientation on the new dampers. Rear is simple.

No, but doesn’t seem like rocket science. One could always inquire with Dinan or one of their retailers.

Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

Are you saying that if one does not take the credit from the dealer that he does not get the same tax credit treatment and can only get the full 7500 credit if his total tax for the year is over 7500? Don’t know why anyone would not take the dealer credit, but it sounds discriminatory to...

Still would likely work better than trimming the original ones for non-Dinan springs.

Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

That is indeed how it now works. I was not able to get the full 7500 on my 2023 return as my total tax was less than 7500, but this year I would qualify 🥵. Guess I’ll have to go buy another one this year just so I can get the credit!!
  22. Occhis

Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

Yes you would get the credit at the dealer, but if 7500 exceeds your total tax liability then you must pay IRS back for the difference. That’s the “non-refundable” part. As stated above you cannot have a net negative tax for the year.

Does anyone know if the mounting nuts are present behind the interior trunk coverings in all versions, so that after market anchors could be fitted?

But then you don’t get the new wheels, seats, steering, adaptive suspension, etc.
  28. Occhis

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

I understand the math, but if you’re going much under 75 on a 70 speed limit road, you’ll get run over and piss a lot of folks off. Angry tailgaiters are everywhere.

One possible solution might be to install thrust bearings. Might help at the extremes where the suspension is twisting the most.

Are you satisfied with the range you get?

219 wh/mi lifetime is amazingly low. I have the same mileage on 2023 MYLR, and mine is around 260. Most of my mileage (75%) is interstate 75-80 mph, so maybe that accounts for the difference.

    Wiper System V4

It seems that if the sky is a certain shade of uniformly gray, not too bright and not too dark, and is raining at just the correct rate then they work perfectly 😆

    Wiper System V4

After driving today in the rain, I’m gonna retract the comment above. Raining intermittently with some brighter skies and wipers were characteristically horrible. Wiping with no rain and not wiping with rain that completely covered the windshield. I waited and waited for them to kick in but had...

    Wiper System V4

Do you normally use "CHILL" mode or "NORMAL" mode with your model Y?

Do you normally use "CHILL" mode or "NORMAL" mode with your model Y?

When one unnecessarily places another’s life at risk I call that irresponsible if not negligent. If that driver were to wreck and one of those teens killed, they could and should be prosecuted. I know, “it can’t happen to me”. Unfortunately it does, every day. Unexpected and unavoidable...

    Suspension groaning when turning wheel

You only need to move about a foot while turning the wheel for the tire not to squirm.
