help with powerwall - time of use working properly via tesla app.

Thanks, I'll try that. I've set the powerwalls to self-powered then back to time of use which seems to have fixed my issue. But it's still a problem that something along the lines keeps happening once a month.

help with powerwall - time of use working properly via tesla app.

Hi everyone, I have contacted Tesla support multiple times, and while they take literal weeks to respond, all they do is give me copy and paste responses, I'm not sure they even read my questions since they often tell me to do things that I told them I did in my original email. Every month I...

Tesla App Utility plan configuration: Multiple Peaks, Buy/Sell Behavior, etc

I'd rather not use time-based control because some days I never run out of power, other days I run out of power a little bit earlier (not sure why tbh). Setting it to self-powered, which it's currently set to, does not have an option to reserve 20% until 5am then use whatever power is remaining...

Tesla App Utility plan configuration: Multiple Peaks, Buy/Sell Behavior, etc

You're right. My mistake. But if I set 20% backup, how do I set it so it starts using the backup at 5am?

Tesla App Utility plan configuration: Multiple Peaks, Buy/Sell Behavior, etc

I'm not sure I understand, sorry. If I set my battery limit to 20% (which I can do using the stormwatch feature or car charge feature), the only way I know of to remove that 20% limitation would be to set an alarm for 5am every morning and remove it, then go back to sleep. Am I mistaken in this?

Tesla App Utility plan configuration: Multiple Peaks, Buy/Sell Behavior, etc

Hi guys! I've tried using the peak, time of use option within the app. It works kinda but it's not ideal because I'd like to end every day at 0% around 8am the next day when it starts charging again. What would be ideal is to have my system run non-stop until it hits 20% remaining battery. Once...

Tesla solar isn't switching seasons, pulling grid power even though batteries are 100% full

Tesla did their update to the solar app and nothing works right. Currently my summer electric starts in May. However I'm paying extra because even though I have it scheduled it's still refusing to use my power wall energy

    Arizona Powerwall Installs

Awesome, I was worried it wasn't enough. A couple CPA's I reached out to were also unsure. Thank you.

    Arizona Powerwall Installs

update: According to pub 543 they have to provide it: https://azdor.gov/sites/default/files/media/PUBLICATION_543.pdf Q8. How will a taxpayer know whether the solar energy device that he or she purchased and installed qualifies for the credit? A8. The person who sells a solar energy device in...

    Arizona Powerwall Installs

I did find this in my initial contract: #7 applies to the same as the certificate dhskiracer71 posted above, but I don't know if this counts and I can mark it as cert received.

    Arizona Powerwall Installs

Thank you for posting this. Tesla is clueless about this and I'm not really sure how to get them to send it to me. Not like I have a lot of time left either. When I answer no I didn't receive a certificate, it says I didn't qualify for the state credit. :(

    Arizona Powerwall Installs

Hey guys, To claim your $1,000 solar tax credit for Arizona state taxes for an installed system, TurboTax claims you need a certificate of Compliance from the installer I remember when they installed my system they said I should be getting something like that in the mail, which never happened...

Time based release of energy lock on powerwalls

I'm on the same app version, 4.1.1-667 Since my powerwalls were only installed last January, I'd HOPE that I have powerwall 2's.

Time based release of energy lock on powerwalls

Hello everyone! So by default, Tesla automatically retains 20% of your powerwalls for emergencies such as grid outages /etc. Since that's such a rare event where I live, I have it set to 0%. However, I pay a larger fee for electric use between 5am - 9am (and 5pm - 9pm) from November until...
