New owner supercharging first day without app

Oh and I'm fairly new as well, having bought an MS60 last October. Find my "day 1" post for a "what NOT to do" cautionary tale! ;-)

New owner supercharging first day without app

All the previous info is great, Id just add to download the Plugshare app, that'll show non-Tesla chargers as well as Tesla. The standard for non-Teslas is J1772 for AC charging, i.e. Slow charging like at home, and CCS1 for DC Fast Charging which is similar to the Superchargers but I think...

    Salvage 2022 model s supercharging?

I have a 2014 MS 60 I bought last fall that isn't enabled for SuC. I tried everything I could with the SC and at one point one of the SC's scheduled my car for a battery inspection for $800 and told me that if it passed the inspection they would re-enable SuC. Huh, "RE" enable?!?!? Somehow...

Early MS LDU/RDU coolant leakage; current state of affairs

It's a single LDU, RWD and it's already out of warranty with Tesla but I do have a CarShield warranty that will cover it. Yesterday I repaired my leaking left inner tail light. And put on the new custom plates...

Are you still on the original battery pack with your 2012-2015 Model S?

Yeah I was thinking the same. I also saw how we can request and download our cars data, which I did today and I found mention that my car did indeed start as an MS40 but was upgraded to an MS60 but SuC wasn't purchased at the same time. I also found the estimates I had requested for enabling...

Are you still on the original battery pack with your 2012-2015 Model S?

Look what I found in the SMT data.... At some point in the past, my MS60 did 31.9kWh of DC charging despite it never having had a SuC license! Who knew? At least it shows my old girl is capable of it if I can ever get a reasonably priced license! The rest of the screenshots are in the SMT...

Yeah I saw that too. Odd, the car has never had SuC! That's less than one full charging session, but it shows the hardware is capable!

Early MS LDU/RDU coolant leakage; current state of affairs

Thanks for sharing all this! Earlier this week I had my ICE mechanic whom I trust more than the SC, do the annual break caliper maintenance and also check the speed sensor. Neither of those is "rocket science" requiring Tesla SC expertise. He charged me $131 total and found my speed sensor...

On the Totals screen, is the AC Charge total of 16,640 kWh a lifetime total?

Thanks again! This is based on the battery's actual energy but tracks very closely with my simpler estimate based on the estimated EPA milage, now vs new, which shows about 7% degradation as well. (55.3/.286) = 193.3 EPA est miles. (55.3/.285) = 194.035 EPA est miles. Based on mobile app...

So is the total battery capacity 55kW nom + 2.8 kW buffer = 57.8 kW total, down from 60kW new, thus 3.7% degradation? From what I've read the 60, 70, 75, 85 kW numbers are rounded up marketing numbers so I don't think my pack was a full 60 kW even when new. I've been using the estimated...

A week ago I charged it to 98% which showed an estimated 190 miles. It's at 68% now with 132 est miles

Thanks for the info! I believe my SOC was 71% and the milage 44,421. Yeah the efficiency isn't great. I drove the car for several months before I decided to start paying attention to the Wh/mi. Most of my driving is city driving and I don't have a good average. When I get out on the tollway...
