    [UK] 2024.14.x

I received an email from TeslaFi a few hours ago that 2024.14.9 was detected on a Model 3 in France and then about 45 minutes ago got an email and push notification that it was downloading to our Model 3. And just got an email from TeslaFi that 2014.14.11 was detected as waiting for WiFi to...

Do they wash the cars that come off the ship in Southampton?

I hate to say it, but given the number of vehicles on a transport ship and the speed at which they unload, if there is a procedure for cleaning/wiping/de-griming, the likelihood they would single out a particular vehicle during the unloading and moving to the collection area is low. With both...

    Phantom braking

That seems to be somewhat unique to orders placed in the USA. I looked back and neither our M3P nor MYLR orders (from 2017 and 2022 respectively) have an arbitration clause. I say "somewhat" because our 2019 Cybertruck order does curiously have the arbitration clause. Please no jabs that we...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

Yes, if Octo-Aid can access it then there must be other ways.

Do you have the Octo-Aid app? I'm fairly sure you can check in the app.

    [UK] 2024.20 Software Update

The Tesla implementation does seem pretty good, although with it staying light out late at present I've yet to have much experience with them. I recall some years back when matrix lights were a new thing I was driving down an otherwise empty unlit country lane with a car close behind. Somehow...

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

I'd like to think I'd opt for 1, 3, 2. Hopefully I will never need to find out!

New (to me) MX+ - Day 1 Puncture - Can it be repaired in the UK

Foam lined tyres are not specific to only Tesla. It may require an extra few minutes to cut out the foam in the puncture location but provided the puncture is otherwise repairable the existence of the foam lining does not render the tyre un-repairable. I suggest phoning around and am confident...

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

And we're back to the Trolley Problem/thought experiment. This message board likes to do full circles....

    Phantom braking

That is pretty definitive. Our GPS is generally pretty good but I can't say I've never seen it wander to a nearby roadway sometimes. Be interested to hear if whatever fix Tesla does improves yours.

    Phantom braking

That could very well be the cause. It doesn't make it any more acceptable but I suppose knowing what might trigger it could help in anticipating scenarios when it may happen. Skittishness around cars in adjoining lanes seems to be another one from my reading here. Tesla must work to make this...

    Phantom braking

Whilst not something we have yet experienced (we very rarely use any of the AP stuff), that sounds terrifying. Just so I know what to expect, is it true "emergency braking"? To me that is full on, triggering ABS type of braking. Or is it a rapid deceleration from say 70MPH to 50MPH? Neither...

    Model 3 Fog light issue

I’m probably misunderstanding but are you saying your car automatically turns on the fog lights when needed? On our cars the fog lights need to be turned on and off manually.

    [UK] 2024.14.x

We were on 2024.8.9 prior to the 14.8 update earlier today. I won’t be using the car until tomorrow but I certainly hope it upgraded properly.
