You may know that half cut solar panels can function better when there is partial shading of the solar panel than ones without the half cut design. Does anyone know if Tesla solar panels are this type, or better (e.g. 1/3 cut)?

Sorry to see you had so many issues. My service experiences have always been excellent with Tesla. Perhaps you can get a second opinion at another Tesla location? The one in Ft. Lauderdale has been exemplary.

But some of the Supercharging Team is being rehired. They can work together and fix issues. It will be nice to add more solar to the Supercharger sites where possible. I know some already have that thankfully.

ChattS, did the 12 V fix it? That is the cheapest possible solution to try first since a new one can be purchased for usually less than $200.

I would love to see those Supercharger people rehired, and others at Tesla too. They are experts and can help to launch the next generation V5 Superchargers too.

Many people want this option and never park in a garage. I think it would be a really good thing and I want to see it offered. They can work out the issues with testing and new iterations to make it even better and work well if the direction of the truck related to the sun is not ideal.

Does anyone know when the solar powered tonneau (or back bed cover) will be offered as an option? It would be nice as a retrofit. A lot of people park their trucks outdoors, so this option is perfect for generating a few miles of extra energy each day. I heard it could possibly be up to 15 - 20...

Is this resolved? I agree that a new inverter is needed as Sophias_Dad said, unless the grounding rod idea works first, and return the existing one if it says pure sine wave but the output is not that. Here is one option...
