My regen braking has seemed less effective for a long while. No bad thing as the brakes get some use.

That’s not what generally happens. The initial acceleration is usually inhibited slightly so that control can be maintained. But as said earlier, you can just cancel the limiter. Given that my use for it is just popping into town where there are often speed cameras, I’d sooner have a proper...

It worked fine in our Outlander PHEV, and original Ioniq Electric. Also works fine in our current Peugeot eRifter. Yes you could floor them to override it but I can’t remember a single occasion where it was necessary.

The groundwork is there now. Speed limit can already nag in every vehicle. They just have to alter the settings to suit the law.

Yes I get that. Would be nice if just for once Tesla implemented something which was a useful safety feature instead of more farting beach buggy games!

Speed limit chime. Is that really the best that Tesla can do? My 2012 Prius did that. Every car since (apart from my Tesla) had a proper limiter.

…and no real news of a speed limiter. Legal requirement for all vehicles as of 7/7/24 if I understand correctly

I just open a web browser page at their software tracker. I don’t get any notifications from Teslafi of course.

Our cars are a couple days apart in age. VIN’s are probably close too. My setting for updates is advanced and I share data with Tesla. Both cars are pre-heatpump 2020 model 3 LR. No idea why we get early updates but we do. I’ve had them before they show up on Teslafi. I’ve had 3 in one week...

First real drive on 18.9 and AP is definitely further from the kerb I cannot understand why with software updates this always happens. The first point releases shove the car nearer the kerb and later revisions put it back where it should be!

    [UK] Spring Software Update

For those of you having issues after installing updates, don’t forget a 2-button reset cures most things. most people on the forum do one straight after install.

    [UK] 2024.20 Software Update

I’ll be interested to see if this update contains an attempt at a speed limiter as required for new cars by July 7th 2024

I was as impressed as one can be when I got the car out of the garage using summon just now. The doorway is fairly tight and there is a short, sharp slope it doesn’t like. In the past it has given up either from the start or certainly part way through. Today, straight out, no messing, no...

    Charging anomalies M3 & Zappi

I’m not aware that waking the car is a problem these days. Tesla’s have usually been more reliable than other marques at waking to charge. I still believe that Tesla’s are more sensitive to proximity voltage stability and the root cause is faults in the pilot cable or the plug itself. If you...
